    Books Published 4th Quarter

Wonder Why I Don’t Announce Publications of My Books… I get that all the time from early stage writers, wondering why I don’t promote my books better. Besides not caring that much, let me show you why. Allyson, the publisher at WMG Publishing, sent me the list of books I published in the fourth quarter of 2021. She sends the list of books Kris published in each quarter as well. And she sends along the links to get to the books on their pages in WMG Publishing in case I do want to promote something. All of these are for sale on the WMG Publishing store as well. So, in…

    Monthly Cover Fun

At Least Fun for Me… Every month with Smith’s Monthly I get to do all the covers for the short stories in the issue, plus the exterior cover. And sometimes I put the covers here. This month was fairly easy, actually. There are ten short stories in this issue and one novel. But the six of the short stories are in a collection I put together, so I had already done the covers and the cover for the collection. (The entire collection is in the issue.) And one of the short stories was in an another collection I just put out, so that cover is already done as well. So…

  • 70 Book Challenge,  Challenge

    The 70 @ 70 Project

THE SUMMARY… This challenge was to publish 70 major books from my 70th birthday to my 71st birthday. (A major book is a novel, a novella, a collection, and any major editing project with my name as editor on the cover.) Individual short stories do not count. I published 51 total of those stand-alone. And see the image of all the books in order at the bottom of this post. Keep in mind this started a week after the election here in the States and months ahead of any vaccine. Yes, this was that year… Here is a list of all publications and the date and type. November Nov 10th:…

    Five Collections

Part of My 70 in 70 Challenge That’s right, five collections published in one day. I had a lot of fun putting these together. And I did the covers and everything, just as in the collections classes. I seldom, and I do mean seldom, ever tell anyone here about books I publish, but having five collections in one day is kind of fun. So figured I would mention it. And yes, I will tell you the exact titles and dates of publication of all 70 books when I hit it. Still going, but these five take me to 66 books of the 70 needed. And a little under a month…

Pictures of Fun Box of Books

Photo of 48 Novels Not Easy to Take… Spread them on a work table Kris and I have outside our offices and then stood on a couch to take the photo. Kris came out and said, “That’s impressive.” I asked “What? The 48 novels or me standing on the couch?” She said “Both.” So some pictures of the 48 novels I got yesterday in one big box. All under my name, no pen names. Something I just realized this morning. Very unusual for me as well. The novel that you can’t see because of the light at the top is LAYING THE MUSIC TO REST, my first novel published in…

    Fun Box of Books

A Very Heavy Box Arrived Today… Turns out it was 47 of my novels. Not copies the same book, but 47 different novels. One copy of each. Not at all sure which books I am missing still. I will have to go back through and compare them to Smith’s Monthly, which has 52 books out at the moment that were in there. (Actually 53.) I know I don’t have the two of the last three. But still missing a few besides those. But still a really fun sight. Very large piles of COLD POKER GANG NOVELS with the new covers and branding. Very nifty. Another bigger pile of THUNDER MOUNTAIN…
