Quick Post On AI Lawsuit
Has To Be Quick Since Aces Game Early Tomorrow… For those of you who do not watch any news at all, this last week most of the remaining bestselling traditional writers and the Author’s Guild filed a lawsuit to stop the theft of their work by ChapGPT. I am not a lawyer, but reading the complaint is very clear and powerful. Lots and lots of artists are already filing suits against AI art companies. And this big suit by old bestsellers is just a part of the massive wave of lawsuits for copyright infringement that have already been filed and will be filed. Simply put… AI in art and in…

A Bunch of Kickstarters
I Push Different Kickstarters For Writers… If a person is on the free Kickstarter for Fiction Writers class on Teachable and starts a campaign and lets me know, I try to look at it (and I often back it) and then I write a group letter to all the others in the free class telling everyone about it. There are about 1,500 writers in that class, so sometimes it helps some. (This is that letter.) And I focus on what writers should study about each campaign. If the campaign doesn’t work, I won’t list it, and sometimes a campaign ends before I can get it listed. Just my schedule issues…

We Have a Ghost.. Movie
On Netflix… Kris and I watched it and not only is it funny as hell, but actually has good family stuff and emotion and a great ending. The movie is based on a short story called “Ernest” by Geoff Manaugh who is a well-known writer of architecture articles and articles on cities and such, mostly for the New York Times Magazine, among other places. He is also a. major blogger in that field. The story was first published in Vice in 2017 and optioned almost at once for a movie, but not by Netflix. I have no idea how it ended up in Netflix. And the story is not at…
