COUNTING DOWN…
40 Hours Left As I Write This!! As I said last night, this Pulphouse Kickstarter campaign is turning out to be great for both writers and readers. For writers, there are two special three week workshops that you can only get through this campaign, and in 60 hours or so, we will never offer those workshops again. They are HOW TO WRITE A PULPHOUSE STORY and HOW TO MONETIZE SHORT FICTION. They are $150 each and you will have a story assignment for the last assignment in each. Or you can get both for $250. You can take them starting September 7th or October 5th. Your choice. You also get…

Three Updates…
Three Important Projects Going… I almost need the cats from Kris’s promotion central on Facebook to help with this, but sadly at this time of the night they are all asleep. — First Project, last night I talked about the six new and really fun In-Person and Study Along workshops Kris and I are going to do starting in March 2022 and going until January 2023. And that we also cancelled the Anthology workshop because of Covid. All the details are in the last post. And the six workshops all have lots of spots left as well as the Study Along workshops for all six. In interested in the In-Person…

Update on Kickstarter Campaign… 7 Days Left…
Getting Close to 5th Stretch Goal… With seven days left, that means we might hit the 6th Stretch Goal as well. So when we do hit the 5th in a few days, I will add in a 7th Stretch Reward with a new Pulphouse collection of stories and a new Pop-Up class as well. So if anyone has any ideas of a Pop-Up class topic they would love to have Kris and I talk about that I could put in the 7th stretch goal, please send the suggestion in the next day or so. I have a number of fun ideas, but figured this would be a good time to…

Copyright And Value and Estates
Yes, I Know… Sounds Boring… But has some real world aspects to it that come clearly to the front with this Kickstarter Campaign for Pulphouse Fiction Magazine. Let me give you two examples. A negative one first, then a very positive one. Kris and I were doing two anthologies for stretch rewards for the last Pulphouse Fiction Magazine campaign two years ago. I was doing Stories from the Original Pulphouse: A Fiction Magazine and Kris was editing Stories from Pulphouse: A Hardback Magazine. (Both are now published.) Seems simple, right? Pick my favorite stories, contact the authors, make them an offer, sign a contract and publish the story in the…

Great Start!!
Wow! Just Wow! The Pulphouse Fiction Magazine Subscription Kickstarter got off to a fantastic start. We funded in record time and today while I was out moving a billion boxes of books into storage, the campaign flashed past our second stretch reward and tonight is well on the way to the third. Next couple of days I will do a post here about all the cool stuff in that campaign. Great reading and great stuff for writers as well. But right now I have this very needy little white cat on my lap while I am trying to type. She is holding one of my arms and threatening to bite…

New Books As Stretch Rewards
We Have Four Pulphouse Collections Planned… With other new books on standby. We will be giving all backers at least these four books as part of the stretch rewards if we hit the the rewards. We will also be giving writing classes as well as stretch rewards for all supporters. All four books are themed collections of Pulphouse stories, so that our authors make a little more money for their stories and their stories get out again to new readers. Plus, to be honest, I have a blast editing these. Why wouldn’t I? I love all the stories. So the link to the campaign is https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/403649867/pulphouse-fiction-magazine-subscription-drive-2021 But for fun, today…

A Dip Into the Past…
Looking Through the Twenty Issues of the Original Pulphouse Magazine… In the last Pulphouse Kickstater, we offered a stretch reward that we said would be coming out about now that was a sample of the stories I published back in the original Pulphouse: A Fiction Magazine. So I was putting that together tonight. I quickly came to realize a few things. The small volume I was putting together could not be a best-of volume because there are just far, far too many great stories in those twenty volumes. I needed to pick eight for this short sample of stories from back 30 years. So this would not be a best-of…
