Power Words for Authors…
Most Authors Have Trouble… Hyping themselves in any fashion is just not a “comfortable” thing for writers to do. In the sales copy class, the first assignment was for each writer to come up with 10 power words that they could use in sales copy to describe themselves. Power words are words (not clauses) that carry emotion with the word. There are negative, neutral, and positive power words full of emotion. We wanted ten positive words a writer could use in a promotion sentence about themselves. Numbers of writers got ten, numbers put full clauses, and so on. Some Surprising Numbers…
At Least They Surprised Me and Kris… Teachable sent us a bunch of facts from 2025. First time in our ten years with them that they have done that. Seems we have 1,469 courses, and zero were made with AI help. Duh… We have many of those 1,469 courses turned off (unpublished) as dated or duplicates, but we have around 600 active courses. Wow, see why the Lifetime Everything Subscription is so good? (grin) We have 5,692 writers who have taken classes over the decade and 179 new writers joined in 2025.
