New Fantastic Stretch Goal
We Do A Zip Line ($25,000) In celebration of reaching this level, Dean will strap a camera on his head and go down the zip line on Fremont Street in Las Vegas and post the film on the web site. But even better, we will add two very special books and a very special writer’s award. Hugo Award Winning editor Kristine Kathryn Rusch will put together a very special Best of Pulphouse: The Hardback Magazine and we will give every supporter of this kickstarter an electronic copy. And editor Dean Wesley Smith will, at the same time, put together a very special Best of the Original Pulphouse: A Fiction Magazine…

Pulphouse Magazine
Only A Few Days Left… Back in 1987, when Kris and I started Pulphouse Publishing, we could not have imagined that in a short thirty-two years we would be running something called a Kickstarter as a form of subscription drive. Back then, subscription drives for magazines consisted of buying mailing lists and sending out a ton of mailers in hopes of getting one or two percent return. And don’t forget those annoying subscription cards inside magazines that dropped out when you opened them. And back then we had to spend money to have the magazine on magazine racks. The first incarnation Pulphouse Fiction Magazine was on news stands. We lost…

You Get Books…
Pulphouse Fiction Magazine Kickstarter… The Subscription Drive hit its third stretch goal, so everyone backing the kickstarter at this point gets the following: 1… An extra issue of the magazine. 2… Two special anthologies. 3… Choice of a WMG Lecture And we are on the way to the next stretch goal, which will get a third book for everyone and choice of a Classic Workshop, and considering six workshops are being added to the classic list this next month, that’s perfect timing. So I hope you back the subscription drive. Some great reading. And for you writers, there are numbers of options there for workshops as well, one spot in…

Just Hit 100 Backers!
Wow, just Wow!… Thank you everyone, for the support so far on this on Kickstarter. It has been fantastic and now, hitting 100 backers is so very cool! Not only are we a “Project We Love” with Kickstarter, but that backer number helps us get found in the Kickstarter world as well. So thank you, everyone, for the quick and wonderful support. And we have some great stretch goals on the horizon as well, including one we won’t announce until we make the next one. The Zip Line stretch goal. So check it out here and remember, with the add-ons, you can combine awards very simply if you want more…

First Stretch Goal in Less Than a Day!
Hit the Goal and the First Stretch Goal… All in less than 24 hours. That’s a new record for us. Thank you, everyone, for the support of Pulphouse Fiction Magazine, and of all the authors who publish in it. Means a lot to me and all of us at Pulphouse. So thanks!! And if you haven’t had a chance yet to check it out, some really nifty stuff and great reading available. r. A couple questions this morning on the workshop and how to submit to Pulphouse Fiction Magazine. Pulphouse Fiction Magazine is not open for submissions and never will be. I am far, far too old, have too much…

Pulphouse Cool Stuff
Actually Working On Three Issues At Once… Tonight I finished the final sdetails on Pulphouse Fiction Magazine #6 and will turn it in to WMG Publishing tomorrow. #6 is the Spring Issue. I almost have #7 together as well, and the last of the stories I bought over the year scheduled in #8 and #9. But what is really fun is that a nifty anthology of stories from the first five issues (#0-#4) of Pulphouse Fiction Magazine is now out and available. It is called You Really Liked That? If you supported the Pulphouse Kickstarter a couple years back, you should have already gotten a copy of the book. It…

Catching Up And Pulphouse Fun
Totally Normal After a Long Workshop… The day was full of a ton of different things, from unloading the van full of stuff from the workshop to checking in with all three stores to working on workshops. All regular stuff after a long week of a major coast workshop. But also tonight, after being caught up, I got to play with putting Pulphouse Fiction Magazine Issue Zero together. Wonderful fun. All of the stories in Issue Zero will be only reprints, so I am have had the pleasure of reading great stories I either haven’t read before, or ones I remember fondly from twenty-some years before. And the writers with…

Kickstarter Finished Strong
Wow, just Wow!!!… Thank you, everyone, for the support for bringing back Pulphouse Fiction Magazine. It means more than you know. As for those of you who took the workshop reward, hold on for a short time and we’ll contact you through Kickstarter just before the end of the month. And yes, you can take November workshops just fine. They don’t start until the 7th, so lots of time to sign up once we contact you. No one will be blocked from a November workshop they want to take, so no worries there. Same with the lectures. We’ll contact you through a survey in Kickstarter around the first of the…

Last Hours!
Pulphouse Fiction Magazine Kickstarter… Only hours left. It will close a little after 6 p.m. West Coast time, so don’t miss out. And I am stunned and thankful for all the hundreds of people who have supported this project. I always felt sad the most when we closed Pulphouse Incorporated back in 1996 to stop this magazine. So now, 21 years later, to have this kind of support bringing Pulphouse Fiction Magazine back is wonderful. So thank you!! As a reminder and last pitch, every supporter gets an Issue Zero, and extra copy on their subscription, and three special books. If you are thinking of workshops, this is the way…

Still Having a Little Site Issue… So while the issue is getting cleared up, with luck by tomorrow (Monday), I figured I would just tell you again about the Pulphouse Fiction Magazine Kickstarter. We made our goal in just three days, which was wonderful!! And stunning. And now we are getting close to our first stretch goal. So thank you, everyone who supported this new/old project. It’s going to be great fun! The kickstarter is at: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/403649867/pulphouse-fiction-magazine You really want to watch the fun video that Kris did to show the history of Pulphouse. It shows me and Kris aging very, very quickly. (grin) Also, September (last month) was the…
