Cattitude Story Bundle
Great Fun!!! A Cat Storybundle… And wow does it have cats in it. Lots and lots of cats. Get it at https://storybundle.com/cats Kris curated this one and it is named after a Pulphouse book Cattitude that I edited. I’ll let Kris describe the bundle here. Don’t miss this one!! ——— The 2021 Cattitude Bundle – Curated by Kristine Kathryn Rusch This bundle thrills me. Often, I curate StoryBundles filled with books I’ve read. Always, I curate with authors whose work I like. But as I curate them, I’m aware that I am a moody reader who rarely wants to read what’s prescribed. So, with the books I have only read…

Three Kickstarters I Think Are Worth Supporting…
I Back A Lot of Kickstarters… In fact, as of today, I have backed 81 campaigns and done 20 on my own. Sometimes, if I back enough campaigns quick enough in a row, Kickstarter labels me a “superbacker” whatever that means. So on this Saturday night, I not only would suggest you back my newest campaign, Pulphouse Fiction Magazine 2021 Subscription Drive, but there are two others campaigns I think are fantastic and worth backing. First off, a nifty historical fantasy novel campaign for a book called A Wish Upon a Star by Kathryn Kaleigh. This campaign is just about a hundred bucks from funding with 4 days to go,…

Copyright And Value and Estates
Yes, I Know… Sounds Boring… But has some real world aspects to it that come clearly to the front with this Kickstarter Campaign for Pulphouse Fiction Magazine. Let me give you two examples. A negative one first, then a very positive one. Kris and I were doing two anthologies for stretch rewards for the last Pulphouse Fiction Magazine campaign two years ago. I was doing Stories from the Original Pulphouse: A Fiction Magazine and Kris was editing Stories from Pulphouse: A Hardback Magazine. (Both are now published.) Seems simple, right? Pick my favorite stories, contact the authors, make them an offer, sign a contract and publish the story in the…

Recovered From Yesterday…
Almost… A two-nap day with a great lunch and a great dinner and a little too much television tonight. But I still managed two loads from the two condos we are cleaning out this weekend of what was left. A lot of art. Kris and I almost have all the art to the new place we think we are going to use. Now to get all the extra, plus all the stuff I would love to sell at some point out into the storage unit that me and the movers filled yesterday. 10 x 30 foot, all climate controlled. Sadly, we filled it. What I would love to sell is…

Great Start!!
Wow! Just Wow! The Pulphouse Fiction Magazine Subscription Kickstarter got off to a fantastic start. We funded in record time and today while I was out moving a billion boxes of books into storage, the campaign flashed past our second stretch reward and tonight is well on the way to the third. Next couple of days I will do a post here about all the cool stuff in that campaign. Great reading and great stuff for writers as well. But right now I have this very needy little white cat on my lap while I am trying to type. She is holding one of my arms and threatening to bite…

Pulphouse Kickstarter is Live!!!
Pulphouse Fiction Magazine Subscription Drive 2021 Just went live at Kickstarter. Check it out. Any magazine to survive needs subscribers and sales and Pulphouse Fiction Magazine is no exception. We have so far used these Kickstarters as a way of generating subscriptions. And we use the Pulphouse books to get authors more money than the professional rates we already pay. And to help promote as well. And the workshops we do in this also help fun the next year of the magazine. So take a look at Pulphouse Fiction Magazine Subscription Drive 2021.

Worked All Day On Kickstarter and Move
And I Also Put Together an Issue of Smith’s Monthly… And finished a novella. Yeah, sort of a busy day. (Giant understatement.) With Kris’s pushing to keep us on schedule, we spent part of a second day just sorting art. I didn’t realize just how many signed pieces of art we have, not counting things like monster movie posters (originals in good shape) from the 1960s. (I will sell those eventually.) And maybe a good 100 Pulp magazine cover art, reproduced on cloth. All going to storage. So much of our even signed art is just going into storage. We have a stunning amount of room for art in our…
