Update On Injuries…
Almost Five Weeks Since Surgery… Thanks, everyone, for all the great well-wishes. Very much appreciated. So here is an update… Things are improving for me and my new titanium shoulder. But still issues. Still sleeping sitting up which does not allow good rest. Still typing with one hand which causes me to get behind at times on things. With luck that will change in the next week or so and my letters won’t be so short. PT folks are nice, but wow is that painful, which drains me especially with the lack of good sleep. I am out of the brace and now trying to train my arm to hang…

5 am…
I’m Up Still Doing Assignments… Typing (if you call it that) with one hand still. Very slow. But the fine folks at PT want me to slowly live a little more each day without the brace. Yay… Progress. And I am back driving. Huge progress… I hope to bring the writing back up as soon as I can type with both hands. Soon. Blogs will get longer when that happens. (grin) And assignments won’t take me until 5 am.

Good First Recovery Day…
Started In On Workshops… …but going to be very slow. So some workshops this week will be a day or two late. Please bear with me. E-mail will take me even longer. No other real updates, other than slow progress. Kris went on a 5K run this morning, and I slept through the whole thing. She did great, and so did I by sleeping. Thanks again, everyone, for all the support.

First Full Day…
Beat Way To Describe It… Ouch! Not taking any opioids, so pain managed by regular stuff, and managed is a little euphemistic to say the least. I am in a big brace that Ron Collins came up, and helped me and Kris figure out how to get me in an out of the brace and a garbage bag over my huge bandage so I could shower. THANK YOU RON!!!!! Excited about how well the new special stretch reward on the Kickstarter is doing. We’re trying to get to 160 backers by Sunday evening. Take a look and please pass the word. Really appreciate that. Thank you, everyone, for all the…

Last Kickstarter Workshops Housekeeping Post…
All Regular Rewards Are Out… Yesterday I sent out all the codes and information for the Special Workshops and regular workshops that were sold in the Pulphouse Fiction Magazine Kickstarter. And last week a new issue of Pulphouse Fiction Magazine went out to all old and new subscribers. All paper books are sent out and drifting in the mail, so they will be arriving as the mail allows. Tomorrow, all supporters will get the codes to the five Pop-Up writing classes that were in the stretch rewards. So watch for those tomorrow. And then finally, by the end of September, all six of the Pulphouse collections that were stretch rewards…

Thank You Everyone!!!
Thanks for the Congratulations… Very very much appreciated. And yes, this was it for marathons for me. Accomplished the goal, now I’m going to keep running, but stick with the fun 5K, 10K, and half marathons that are more fun and don’t do the damage a marathon does. The charity runs, mostly. They keep me in shape as well. Update today. Not a pretty sight me walking. Kris bandaged my bad heel again, but the rest of the damage is bruising and blood blisters and really sore leg muscles and knees. And Advil is in my future shortly this morning. And a lot of time in this chair and on…

A General Update… Short
Got To Be Short Tonight… Got to rest my eye from too much screen time. Pushing the edge right now. I did a bunch of work on Kickstarter and have that Best Practices updated, but no new videos there. I wrote the introduction and author introductions to the second cat anthology and got that turned in today. A few days ago I also put together a new Poker Boy collection and did an introduction and got that turned in as well to WMG. Two books in two days. I am working on Pulphouse #10 (I think #9 will ship shortly as we get back on track) and I also did…

Finally Back At The Writing
Last Two Days Were Solid… Took a little time to ramp back into the novel that was almost finished when the life roll hit and derailed everything. So I am at 44 days on a novel that should have taken less than 20. But after three weeks away, the last two days have been solid. I wrote both mornings as planned and then actually did sessions in the evenings as well. That might be the way I will work going forward, we shall see. Certainly get more pages that way. (grin) Also will finally be getting back on track on getting the web site done and getting some progress on…
