In Person and Study Along and Novella Classes

In Person Craft Classes in Vegas Return in 2022!!! That’s right, the limited craft in-person classes are back in 2022. We announced this last summer, but now, since the reading list is about to go out on the first class in March, Kris and I figured it was time to really go over these again. There will be six classes, all limited to 15 people each here at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas. For this new series, we have taken the overall topics of Caper, Spies, and Humor and smashed them into six different genres. March 21st-24th… Thriller Humor (taught by Dean) May 16th-19th… Mystery Caper (taught by Kris)…

Things To Do… And a Cat Picture

Had Ideas for a Blog Tonight… I was going to do Chapter Four of Wet Blanket Reality, but then, to be honest, I didn’t feel like being that negative at the moment. I’m in a positive mood about the new year and the new challenges and doing the Motivational Mondays, so I don’t need to rain on someone’s parade at the moment. I will return to that book and finish it in January. Besides, no one who reads this blog regularly is actually thinking of going to what is left of the traditional publishing world. But I still want to finish the book because I have a Storybundle I want…

Motivation Monday Starts in a Week…

First Three Videos on Monday 20th… Kris and I at lunch today got talking about the first two extra Motivation Mondays we are doing in December before the new year starts. And we figured they would be perfect for some motivational and helpful videos on how to get ready for the new year. So we came up with six videos for the first two Motivation Mondays, all of it focused on how to help get started into the new year in a fun way with the writing and publishing. Topics like Time Control, Preparing Your Office, Setting Schedules and a bunch more. As I said, over the year I’m going…

    MOTIVATIONAL MONDAY

We Finally Pulled the Trigger… Motivational Mondays have been launched on Teachable and our now live. Kris and I have been talking and planning this for some time and we think it’s going to be great fun and very valuable for those getting it. Here is how it works: Every Monday on Teachable (actually Sunday night late so you can view them on Monday morning), Kris and I will put up at least three videos on some motivational topic or another concerning writing, publishing, and all the stuff around writing and publishing. See the partial list below of topics. The idea is to help writers stay on track, get unstuck,…

    Night Off

Santa Tomorrow… Me and Kris and Lisa and a number of other writers around town, plus 25,000 to 30,000 or more other humans are all going to dress up in our matching Santa outfits, hats and all, and do 5K around the streets of downtown Vegas. Oh, my, god, is that fun and just head-shaking stupid. So I will be announcing my 2022 challenge in the next few days and doing more posts on the Wet Blanket book, plus announcing some fun new workshops and classes and the start of Motivational Monday for writing and publishing. But tonight, since I have to get up slightly early, I am taking a…

    Well, That Was Fun…

Holiday Adventure And A Sale… The sale you all know about from last night. And I will answer a few questions below, but first a holiday adventure. Started off a couple days ago when Kris and I were talking about maybe not having enough turkey for leftovers because we had a small turkey and five people planning at dinner. We both really like leftover turkey for a few days, so on a whim out shopping, I grabbed a second bird. With the sale on the bird and a secondary special discount, I didn’t really notice how big it was. Turned out it was huge. And that might be an understatement.…

    Two Amazing Bundles of Books

And I Curated One of Them… First off I have a Thunder Mountain novel in the Storybundle I curated by the name of Visions of the Future. My book plus 9 other great science fiction books in there by some great writers. Kris has a Diving Novel in here as well. Image of the ten books below. Get it at Storybundle.com/future Then I also have a book in a Storybundle Robert Jeschonek curated basically called Weird. The book I have in there is a Pulphouse  short story anthology of really whacked out stories titled THAT’S REALLY MESSED UP. Great writers in that anthology, but then you look at the writers…

    Our Holiday Season Started

With A 5K Run/Walk Under the Holiday Lights Three miles of holiday lights with over 2,000 people, mostly families, in pajamas. It is held at the big Nascar track and they decorate the entire area under the grandstands, around both ends of the track, and along the edge of the big track. Three miles of some of the best holiday lights I have ever seen. For the entire holiday season it is for cars to drive around under it with their radio tuned to a holiday music channel. But to open it, they do this massive charity 5k run with everyone wearing pajamas. Families of parents, kids, and grandparents all…

    Back Tomorrow…

Back to Full-Time At All This Tomorrow… Today I turned in another issue of Smith’s Monthly and did some email catch up today, but tomorrow I am going to spend most of the day catching up on email and reading manuscripts and other stuff. (Maybe a nap or two as well.) So hold on if you have been waiting for me to respond on something, I do appreciate your patience and I will be catching up tomorrow and Saturday. And after a week or so I will be starting to get ready for my new challenge. That one will take some ramp-up and I will talk about it here as…
