    Having Fun In Week #2…

Of the Making Money Workshop… I just spent the last few hours recording the second week of Making Money with Your Fiction Writing Workshop. Oh, my, I think I was punchy. (grin) But for me it’s a fun topic and I was having fun. I also realized while showing off an issue of Smith’s Monthly that by the time #45 comes out, it will be 2021, and Issue #44 came out in summer of 2017. Wow, 3.5 years between issues. Sort of been a crazy time, that’s for sure. But I am so excited about bringing it back. I have about eight or nine novels done and waiting to go…

    Money and Kickstarter Workshops Starting

How To Make Money With Your Fiction Writing… Yup, that workshop starts on Wednesday this coming week. Should be a very interesting one, but don’t take it if you want to learn about advertising on places like Facebook and so on. That is not how to make money past a moment in time, maybe, if you are lucky. We’re not even hardly mentioning that. This workshop is how to make money over the long haul and build the income. If you first thought is that you know how to do that, you really need this workshop. If you first thought is you can’t imagine what we will talk about besides…

If I Owe You A Letter

In the Last Three Days, Hold On…  I will get caught up today. No problem, I’m just taking some breaks and doing other things. Also about to do some videos in the Decade Ahead class and more cat videos. So next week check those out if you are in them. Again, the Decades Ahead will go through all of 2021 now. No chance in hell any of us can plan while swirling in this mess. The key with all this is just get your head down and keep writing. And make sure you vote. Horror and Historical-focused Science Fiction special workshops are starting on Tuesday. And Making Money with Your…

    Special Workshop Invites All Out

All Invites Have Been Sent… So if you think you are signed up for one of the two special workshops and did not get a letter from me for the special Writing Obsession/Horror Stories workshop or the Writing Historical SF workshop, please check your spam filters. If the invite is still not there, then first contact the person who did the kickstarter to make sure they had you signed up and paid. If you are, then contact me. No one can join these special workshops. They were only offered through the Kickstarters. However, we do have one new regular six-week workshop starting in October you can get into. Making Money…

A Few More Hours On The Half-Priced Sale

Leaving the Coupon Code Active until Wednesday Evening… Since yesterday was a holiday here in the States, and today it seems like half of the West Coast is either covered in smoke, worried about fire, out of power, or all three, Kris and I figured we would let the code stay active until Wednesday evening. That way everyone had a chance to get a workshop or class that they wanted. The code to get anything on WMG Publishing’s Teachable is: EndOfSummer Those of you in the Space Opera Workshop, I mentioned on Week #2 you should look at the four Pop-Ups. Well, the codes were going to go out today,…

Last Day of Half-Price Workshop Sale

Almost Over!!! The half-priced sale is at least. Tonight, late, is the last time the EndofSummer code will work (Tuesday Night.) I sure wish this pandemic, the reason we offer these sales, was also almost over. But sadly, at least here in the States, it is not. And here we just went through a major holiday weekend. Cover of our local paper today showed crowds of tourists on the strip, on the sidewalk, almost all without masks. The casinos enforce mask use in all areas and also social distancing. They are required to do so by the Gaming Commission and the Governor. And they don’t want to be shut down…

    New Workshops Are Up

Well, One Is New… I have the new Making Money with Your Writing workshop now up on Teachable and starting in October. It is in the lifetime subscription as well. And I put up three classic workshops as well. Writing Romance, Information Flow, and Endings Workshops. Since the half-price sale is going on, I wanted to make sure they were available. Also the four new Pop-Ups are up. For those of you who supported the Return of Boss (actually you still can at Late Pledges which gets all the stretch rewards as well) you will be getting codes for those four Pop-ups later this week. And codes for all the…

    Update On Stuff

Odds and Ends From The Week… First off, the workshop End of Summer half-price sale is still going on for just three more days. You can find all the information and the code at End of Summer Sale. Don’t miss this one. —— Surveys have gone out to all backers of the Return of Boss Kickstarter campaign. They went out through a company called CrowdOx, so check your spam filter. If you didn’t get one, they will try sending anyone who hasn’t replied another in a couple of days, so no worry. Also, we now have a Late Backer Page set up. That’s right, if you missed The Return of…

End of Summer Workshop Sale Repeated

I Ran Out of Time… Turns out my best plans for the day got completely sidetracked as I kept learning this new program for surveys for Kickstarters. In fact, I’ve been spending a lot of time with Kickstarter stuff the last four days, and actually will update the Best Practices shortly. So tonight I was going to write a sort of soapbox post about audio books and Kickstarter, but ran out of time tonight, so will do it tomorrow. So once again, here is the full post talking about the End of Summer sale and the code to get any workshop at half price on Teachable, which is EndOfSummer. Tomorrow…

    The Return of Boss

Three Full Days Doing the Survey And almost ready to go. Waiting on one more detail and it will finally head out. I’m learning a great deal, actually, since this is the first one we have gone with a fulfillment company on. It should be pretty good, even though this time they are only doing the survey and we are still doing the actual fulfillment. But it is a ton nicer and a ton more work. And also we will have a site up for a time to take late pledges. In other words, if there is something you missed during the Kickstarter, you can still pick it up, or…
