Six Collections Classes
All Six Classes Are Available Over the Coming Year… The idea is to not only learn about a topic, but also learn how to put a collection together from five original short stories you wrote on that topic and publish it by the end of the nine-week class. We have six topics and starting on the 4th of May, the Private Eye Collections class starts, as well as the Portals Collection Class. They both run for 9 weeks. Colliding Worlds Publishing Today
Six Volume Collection of Kris and My SF Short Stories… The electronic copies went out to the Kickstarter backers who took the full set a month ago, the paper copies have all shipped and are now available for sale as well. Only the signed limited hardbacks are still going through the final shipping steps. Kris and I are both very, very proud of this collection. 60 science fiction short stories each. Books Don’t Spoil…
I Have Been Saying That For Years… In traditional publishing, books are like bananas that go bad after a short time on the shelves and must be replaced with a fresh banana. But in indie publishing, years can go by before a book finds its true market. The book didn’t spoil in that time frame. Brandon Sanderson got well past a million bucks just doing a Kickstarter campaign for a hardback of a ten year old novel. Thankfully for him, he understood that books don’t spoil. Updates On Some Classes
Slowly Seeing The Light… Amazing how the pandemic just ground so much of all of us (and the world) down to a halt. At WMG Publishing last spring and through the summer, we spent all the time making sure we were solid. Some projects were put on hold, others cancelled, until by the time we got to late August, we felt pretty solid as a company and a business.
