Card Sharp Silver… Day 9
Onward I Go… Not great numbers, but unlike many writers out there who are beating on themselves and stressed beyond words because of the world situation, I am getting words done. Not saying I haven’t been paying attention. I have. Not saying at times I don’t get stressed. I do. But not to excess because besides taking care of our business, social distancing, and disinfecting everything I touch, there ain’t a thing I can do. If I was a medical professional, I most certainly would be pitching in. But all I really know how to do after the last forty years is make shit up and entertain people. And donate…

Card Sharp Silver… Day 8
Another Better Day on Words… Not sure how many exactly because for the first two sessions I flat forgot to make a note as I started and ended. Got caught up in the book. But somewhere between 2,500 and 3,000 words for the day. And really, really a fun point went past in the book today. It suddenly became clear to me how to focus all the writers who are going to write Cave Creek stories for the anthologies. My creative voice just sort of put it in and I didn’t notice until it was a ways past. You folks writing for this in the Shared World Class will see…

Card Sharp Silver… Day 7
Writing Picked Up Speed… Just wish the Kickstarter for Cave Creek would. So today I managed to get in here to my internet computer around 11 am or so, doing business and emails. Then around noon I headed out once again for some errands. Bank, store for a few things I missed yesterday. Made it back after a few business calls while in the parking lot of the store, by two. Got disinfected and then Kris and I headed out for a walk to lunch. We walked the mile to the restaurant and back through the mostly empty streets of downtown Las Vegas, then back with our carry out lunch…

Kickstarter Extended!!
Now We Have Eight Days Left!!! We could use the help passing the word on this to hit the next stretch goal where all backers get another free book, plus a lecture of their choice worth $50. And the stretch goal beyond that gets yet another free book to read plus writers a $150 workshop. This campaign got caught, as many of us did, in this virus shutdown. But Kickstarter has done something they never do and allowed us to extend the campaign from its set end date. Fantastic support from Kickstarter on this. So if you haven’t given this campaign a look yet, you have no idea what book…

Card Sharp Silver… Day 5
Book Surprising Me… Of course, I had no idea what I was going to write when I started this thing, but what is happening is not at all what I might have expected in hindsight. Really fun and I have no flat idea where it is going or why. I love that. So the day was yet another rest day. At this rate it’s going to take me a few weeks to finish this thing. I hope to speed up at some point, but it was Monday and a bunch of business to do and things. And even worse, I didn’t roll out of bed until almost noon. Got to…

Cave Creek Kickstarter
Only Three Days Left!!! We could use the help passing the word on this to hit the next stretch goal where all backers get another free book, plus a lecture of their choice worth $50. This campaign got caught, as many of us did, in this virus shutdown. But if everyone could pass the word in these last three days, that would be helpful and also get everyone some free books to read fairly quickly while they are stuck at home. So if you haven’t given this campaign a look yet, have no idea what book I am writing in my daily blogs (Cover above), check it out. And remember,…

Card Sharp Silver… Day 4
Wow Was Today Another Rest Day… Worse than yesterday, actually. Not one, not two, but three naps. All 15 minutes or so, and I am finally starting to feel awake. Amazing how stressed I was over the last few weeks. Glad I can take the time now to just rest. So made it to my internet computer around 11 am again and worked business and letters and stuff there until around 1 pm. Then I decided I would give the novel some time, so after a first quick nap, I got to the writing computer and managed about an hour and just at 1,000 words. Really enjoying this book. So…

New Pop-Up Available
Pop-Up #19… How Can Your Business Survive the Downturn? Kris in upcoming blogs talks about the Black Swan event we are all going through right now. And we put together this Pop-Up to help as well. Step-by-step things you need to think about and maybe act on or maybe not. But at least with this you will not be flying into the dark so much because Kris and I have made it through three major black swan events with businesses before this one. So might be worth your time, folks. BRINGING ALL POP-UPS BACK LIVE… Until yesterday the only Pop-Ups you could get were the last couple or buy the…

Finished a Novel
Tomorrow Will Be Starting New One… I have a big project to put up on Teachable tomorrow that will be free for everyone, but past that I am going to be getting ready to start the Cave Creek novel. How do I get ready? Simply put, I file the stuff from the novel I finished and turned in tonight. Get a blank yellow pad ready, and maybe start writing, depending on the time of day or night. So starting tomorrow I will be talking about my days and the writing of this next novel, including starting up. THE FINAL THIRTY-FOUR Now out for sale. We will be sending it to…

What Is Writing In Public?
Got That Question Twice Today… Because I mentioned it when talking about writing the first Cave Creek novel. So even though I will show this and talk about it later this week when I start the novel, here is what I mean. I have, over time, basically did a chronicle here of my day, most of the details, and how much writing I got on a certain project. I did that when I wrote the novel in five days while traveling, and that is the name of the book that came out of the blog posts. And I started the practice when I wrote a novel in ten days as…
