Card Sharp Silver… Day 5

Book Surprising Me…

Of course, I had no idea what I was going to write when I started this thing, but what is happening is not at all what I might have expected in hindsight. Really fun and I have no flat idea where it is going or why.

I love that.

So the day was yet another rest day. At this rate it’s going to take me a few weeks to finish this thing. I hope to speed up at some point, but it was Monday and a bunch of business to do and things.

And even worse, I didn’t roll out of bed until almost noon. Got to the internet computer by 1 pm, did about thirty minutes of work, then said, “Screw it!” And turned to the writing computer.

500 words later, around 2 pm, Kris got me for lunch.

After lunch I went back to business stuff, emails, and meetings. Even though all of WMG staff is working from home, lots and lots of stuff getting done and changing a little. And it was typical Monday business as well.

So finally around 5 pm Kris and I went out for a walk to get our steps. Beautiful day in the ghost town of Las Vegas.

We have now been totally locked down for a full week. I have been sort of surprised that many of the states are not even moving to lock down. You don’t get used to this, but it is becoming part of the new normal.

Then I cooked us dinner, took a nap, then went and did assignments for a few workshops.

Then another walk, then watched an hour of the Voice, then back to the internet computer to finish up the business day.

Finally at midnight I moved over to the writing computer and did another 1,200 words in one hour-long session before the brain said, enough for now.

So another rest day. But one of these days I will start putting in the time and this book will just fly. Kind of wondering what’s going to happen to be honest.

Only about 40 hours left on the Cave Creek Kickstarter. We still have a chance of making the next stretch goal and getting everyone a free lecture and another book. But going to need help.
