Workshop Questions and Day Four: Writing a Novel in Half a Month
Some Workshop Sale Questions Answered First… Before jumping into the first post for Day Four, Chapter Four… Questions About Classes for the sale… Yes, you can still jump into the Shared Worlds class. Lots of videos to catch up on, and just last night I put out a call for another Cave Creek story. I am sure there will be more calls for stories in the Cave Creek shared world, but if you do jump in, watch all the videos first. Again, there are a lot of them. Licensing Class and Decades Ahead Classes will be going for another full year. The Pandemic ground them to a halt because Licensing…

Workshop Sale AGAIN!!
Back to School, AGAIN… Workshop Half-Price Sale As I said two months ago, I honestly never would have predicted this last spring. Not in a million years. Not many did and those who did warn us of this, none of us listened to. We just couldn’t imagine being locked up for a year. But at least now we have some hope on the horizon with the vaccines going out. But they won’t do much good especially over the coming months. Back when WMG Publishing did what we all thought here would be the last workshop sale way back in May, 2020, we had an expectation that as things opened up,…

March Workshops are Available
April Workshops Tomorrow… It is Friday, so I decided to get some chores done. So I managed to post and get live all the March regular workshops. List Below. And tomorrow I will post and get live all the regular April workshops as well. I am leaving two spots open in April for new workshops and one open in March. So thanks everyone, on the feedback yesterday. And going to give some thought to writing a short book on the Stages of Publishing as a series of blog posts, then put the entire book in Smith’s Monthly before I publish it stand alone. And do the workshop as well in…

Ideas On My Lists for Pop-Up and Workshops…
I Have A List… Actually two lists, tacked on my computer with thoughts of “That would make an interesting Pop-Up” and the second list is possible workshops. Thought I might share a few of the residents of those lists here. Comments are welcome, but be nice. Remember, it is only your opinion and someone else may really love the idea or hate it. And saying you like it does not commit you to taking anything. Kris and I are always looking for more ideas if you got something that you think would be a good idea for writers to study or learn or that you want to study or learn.…

Slight Bump In Challenge
As Expected… Which is why I talked about how I can do two and three and even once four full short stories in one day. I expect to get behind. And my focus is to hit 31 stories in January to start with. My bet is the reason I am behind a story or so is the same reason many of you are behind. Major election which flipped the Senate… Up most of the night watching that. Got up today, did some shopping as planned and had riots in Washington by the time I got home Since that is history and stunning beyond words, had to watch that, and then…

Workshop Order and Breakdown…
Workshop Curriculum 1/1/2021 I went through these back about four months ago, so with the sale going on now, I thought I would do it again so everything is clear. Today’s post is just the workshops and I’m going to divide all of them down into areas of study. And the numbers are my suggestions on the order to take these workshops because many of them build on others. (Two types of workshops are included. Regular and Classic.) All workshops and courses can be found on Teachable. Just hit “see all courses.” To get them at half price, just use the code Resolution Pop-Ups and others will be listed later.…

Half Price Workshop Sale In Case You Missed It..
Yes, We Are Doing It Again… I talked about this in full the day after Christmas, because Covid is just as bad, if not worse, than earlier. So we are going to do one more sale of everything on WMG Publishing’s Teachable. And we really, really hope never again. 2020 will be over and with it we hope these sales. We want us all to get through this virus and go back to at least a new normal as soon as possible. But, we are not there yet and there are dark months ahead of us in the first of the new year. And WMG Publishing wants to help you…

Collection Classes Now Available
They Are Now Available to Get with the Workshop Sale… Here is the structure of each class in general. A nine week class. (Yes, I said nine weeks.) And each week will have five videos and an assignment. The goal at the end is to have written five new stories with a certain base theme and published a five story collection. Week #1… General stuff about collections and the topic of the class and how to do titles. Assignment would be to come up with a number of possible titles and tag lines for your collection that you will be working toward. Week #2 through Week #6… Videos about the…

Putting Up New Workshops…
January and February Workshops…. They will be up on Teachable over this next week. But hold off until the 26th to sign up for any of them because on the 26th we will be announcing a workshop sale. Everything half price again in an attempt to keep all of you home, safe, and busy learning. Also, yes, we will be starting the new Collections Classes and those will be available for the sale as well. So stay tuned. I am working on getting them active, but tonight I worked on Pulphouse Fiction Magazine. So great to have that coming back strong in 2021. In fact, we are moving from quarterly…
