    THREE MORE STORIES TODAY

So That Makes Eight Short Stories in Three Days! 28 stories done in April, two more to go with one day left. In sight. And that was with doing two webinars this morning and early afternoon here, and going for a nice dinner with Kris at the Golden Nugget and looking at the rooms where the workshops will be. Can you say stunning? Up a beautiful staircase directly across the street from a parking garage. On the other side of a glass wall on one side of the staircase is the pool. There are four restaurants within fifty feet of that staircase and a Starbucks. No where near a casino…

    Two Story Day

So That Makes Five Short Stories in Two Days! 25 stories done in April, 5 to go with 2 days left. Uphill, but I am having fun, so that is all that matters. And both stories again today were my new character Sky Tate. These are all stand-alone stories, not chapters. And if I hit this challenge, you will be able to read them along with these blogs in the book, just like Stories from July. The Day And the Stories Started off by getting up at 9:30 a.m. and was actually at our dining room table looking out over Las Vegas by 10:30 a.m., doing email. Second day in…

    A Three Story Day!

That Is Right. Three Short Stories in One Day! I needed to have one or two of these to hit the challenge, so still in the running it seems. And all three stories were with my new series character, Sky Tate: The Best Woman Detective in the Business. She owns snark. And damn are the fun to write, exactly what I needed. The Day And the Stories Started off by getting up at 9:30 a.m. and was actually at our diningroom table looking out over Las Vegas by 10:30 a.m., doing email. And by 11 a.m. I started into a story I called “The Story of Jean.” I have decided…

    ANOTHER STORY… ANOTHER SERIES

That’s Right, I Started A New Series Character… I did not mean to. Honest. Just sitting there in a restaurant sipping on an iced tea and eating some sort of chip appetizer while Kris was exercising and out came this character.  It is in the same world as my Poker Boy, Ghost of a Chance, and Marble Grant series. Damn I love writing in that world. Can you tell? The Day Kris and I headed out around 11 a.m. to go to the gym where there is an indoor running track where Kris can run. It’s record heat here right now. We are both members of the gym, so while…

    Very Short Post Tonight

Back in Vegas I am writing this from our breakfast nook overlooking Las Vegas. I spent the day first working at WMG offices on the coast, then heading for the airport in Portland and a flight down here. In the airport and on the plane I finished a story that will also be novel start. Called “Two-Handed Stand” and will be in my Seeders Universe. 2,150 words. More on the day tomorrow, but got a story done while traveling. Great fun. Never did that before. Now I am calling it a night because I am going to get up early with Kris tomorrow and while she is exercising I will…

    Backed Against The Challenge Wall

13 Stories to Go in Seven Days… No story tonight because, to be honest, there was just too much to do. Too many letters to send, too much work on other stuff as well. And I even packed a few more boxes. So going to focus on stories for the next week. I still think I have a chance at hitting this challenge of 30 stories in 30 days while moving. But I think I am the only one who thinks so. (grin) Thankfully, the wave of stuff I needed to get done is pretty much done. If you were planning on coming to either the Master Business Class this…

    Story Seventeen

Rested This Afternoon So the Story Came Easy… Go figure, I took a nap and then watched some television and just rested, so when I did go to doing email and workshop stuff and writing, it all went easier. Wow, shocker. (grin) The Day Started off up real, real early at a little after 9 a.m. to get some stuff done and get to the WMG offices for the two webinars. I had fun on both, although the Space Opera got way off topic for the last thirty minutes. Still fun and good questions. Thanks everyone. Then went to the writer’s lunch in another part of the WMG offices, which…

    A Planned Miss

I Has Been Hoping… I had on my schedule a planned miss tonight, knowing there would be too much to do and I would be too tired since the Fantasy workshop ended today here at the coast. But since I have had two unplanned misses, I had been hoping to actually be able to do a story tonight. Nope. The planning was accurate. So now I have five missed days and nine days to do 14 stories. Well, that will be fun. (grin) Not at all impossible, but certainly interesting. So going to keep this short tonight since I have webinars to have fun with tomorrow morning. ————– IF YOU…

A Lot of Paint and a Story

Up Way Early… I got up early for me, like at 9 a.m., to go out where our two south stores are and help the landlord of the complex there do some painting. We are taking another building there in the complex for an apartment for me and Kris when we come back up to Lincoln City. And the front part will be an area we will use to sort collections that come in and a large porch area will be our 4th store. So the landlord was painting the inside and going above and beyond the call of duty to seal the place for Kris and her allergies. So…
