    Recovered From Yesterday…

Almost… A two-nap day with a great lunch and a great dinner and a little too much television tonight. But I still managed two loads from the two condos we are cleaning out this weekend of what was left. A lot of art. Kris and I almost have all the art to the new place we think we are going to use. Now to get all the extra, plus all the stuff I would love to sell at some point out into the storage unit that me and the movers filled yesterday. 10 x 30 foot, all climate controlled. Sadly, we filled it. What I would love to sell is…

    Great Start!!

Wow! Just Wow! The Pulphouse Fiction Magazine Subscription Kickstarter got off to a fantastic start. We funded in record time and today while I was out moving a billion boxes of books into storage, the campaign flashed past our second stretch reward and tonight is well on the way to the third. Next couple of days I will do a post here about all the cool stuff in that campaign. Great reading and great stuff for writers as well. But right now I have this very needy little white cat on my lap while I am trying to type. She is holding one of my arms and threatening to bite…

    Pulphouse Kickstarter is Live!!!

Pulphouse Fiction Magazine Subscription Drive 2021 Just went live at Kickstarter. Check it out. Any magazine to survive needs subscribers and sales and Pulphouse Fiction Magazine is no exception. We have so far used these Kickstarters as a way of generating subscriptions. And we use the Pulphouse books to get authors more money than the professional rates we already pay. And to help promote as well. And the workshops we do in this also help fun the next year of the magazine. So take a look at Pulphouse Fiction Magazine Subscription Drive 2021.

Worked All Day On Kickstarter and Move

And I Also Put Together an Issue of Smith’s Monthly… And finished a novella. Yeah, sort of a busy day. (Giant understatement.) With Kris’s pushing to keep us on schedule, we spent part of a second day just sorting art. I didn’t realize just how many signed pieces of art we have, not counting things like monster movie posters (originals in good shape) from the 1960s. (I will sell those eventually.) And maybe a good 100 Pulp magazine cover art, reproduced on cloth. All going to storage. So much of our even signed art is just going into storage. We have a stunning amount of room for art in our…

    New Books As Stretch Rewards

We Have Four Pulphouse Collections Planned… With other new books on standby. We will be giving all backers at least these four books as part of the stretch rewards if we hit the the rewards. We will also be giving writing classes as well as stretch rewards for all supporters. All four books are themed collections of Pulphouse stories, so that our authors make a little more money for their stories and their stories get out again to new readers. Plus, to be honest, I have a blast editing these. Why wouldn’t I? I love all the stories. So the link to the campaign is https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/403649867/pulphouse-fiction-magazine-subscription-drive-2021 But for fun, today…

    Turn On E-Mail in Teachable…

If You Are Taking Classes From Me and Kris… On the big workshops, such as The Business Master Class, Licensing, Kickstarter Best Practices, Decade Ahead, and a few others, I send out emails to those in the class when something new is posted so no one misses it. But many of you just clicked off the email on Teachable when you signed up, so don’t get those notices. So to turn it back on if you want, here is how…  Sarah looked it up and found it and explained it clearly… Thanks, Sarah. I found it by going to the main WMG Dashboard in Teachable that shows all the courses,…

    Another Long Moving Day

Got the Original Pulphouse Books Up and In Place… Wow, we did a lot of books, especially when you consider three or four states per book. 285 different titles. Took a bunch of moving from our office condo which is where they were to up here. Also today submitted for approval another Kickstarter Campaign. This one for Pulphouse Magazine subscriptions.  Going to be a good one. In fact, it has two special three-week workshops that will run in September and October. You can only sign up for them through the campaign. One is a complete redo of HOW TO WRITE A PULPHOUSE STORY. Not even going to look at the…

    Massive Move Day

Gaining On It… The goal is by 1 week from today, when the movers show up, everything will either be in place in this new condo or ready to go to our new storage unit. Almost no furniture except shelving will go to storage. Just a dining table and chairs, and one desk, but a ton of boxes full of books and files. Basically all our extra author books is the biggest mass. And we will move the digest collection from the other smaller storage unit to this new larger one since the larger one is air conditioned. So everything needs to be boxed and either upstairs in our new…
