It Was A Day…
We All Have Them… So busy and so much to do, I sort of forget what I was doing at times. Up hours early for me and only glanced at my email before heading out for a meeting in North Las Vegas. Then back into town and my first stop at a bank in 18 months or so because I needed a cashier’s check. (Stupid old custom of business, there.) Then to the south side of town near the Strip for another meeting. Then stopped at a cat rescue operation I support with donations and where I had found the first Burman cat (like Cheeps) in years of looking. She…

Me Talking On Another Podcast…
Every-So-Often I Lose My Mind and Say Yes… I said yes to these guys because they are nice guys and they asked nicely and they look like they are having fun. So, of course, I talked about Heinlein’s Rules and Writing into the Dark and the Magic Bakery. It’s free and might be worth a listen if you are washing the dishes or cleaning out the cat boxes, or driving to the grocery store. I am my typical dogmatic self. Going Out Again…
Into the World With Friends… Wow, that is amazing that we are able to do that now. After 15 months of seeing no one personally (except other masked people in the elevator), seeing no friends, having no writing talks, now that has changed. Had a wonderful birthday dinner a few weeks back with Loren and Heather Coleman and two other writers who were all fully vaccinated, then dinner and lunch with Lisa a few times, then Chris and Steve York (also fully vaccinated) showed up in town on their way East and we had some wonderful dinners and late-night gab sessions. And yesterday, Kris and I went out for lunch…

In My New Office
Got One of Four Computers Up and Running Could not get the internet here to work, so on my phone on a hotspot until tomorrow. Kris has been using the internet down here without issue, so pretty certain I am doing something wrong. Standard. (grin) No books on the shelves yet, but that will happen after I get everything working. Ahh, the fun of moving offices. And no art on the walls yet, but there will be. If I owe you an email from the last few days, I hope to catch up tomorrow. So I am now in one of the two bedroom/offices in our downstairs condo. This will…

Wondered Into Cave Creek Today
Sure Felt Like It… Kris and I and Lisa went out to a 5k run/walk this morning out at a historic park up on the northern edge of Las Vegas. Big old trees, a bunch of ponds, and just about every wild bird you could imagine, all in this incredible green oasis in the middle of this really harsh desert. So Kris went off running with the crowd, and Lisa and I hung to the back because we were going to walk. And it was a beautiful walk, but amazingly windy. And the course was full of twists and turns through the trees and around the ponds and lakes, but…

Behind on E-Mail
I Will Get Caught Up By Tomorrow Evening… So if you haven’t heard from me in a day or two, hold on. I have managed to hit five days on my five miles a day minimum in exercise. Win. First days of any streak are always the hardest, especially exercise. Eating control still a problem (see picture below), but gaining on that as well slowly. So now instead of spending the next few hours cleaning up my email, I am going to go finish a new novel. And pictures below are yesterday on our anniversary. Yes, Kris can eat vegan pizza. This was at Slice of Vegas out at the…

Thank You For the Kind Wishes…
Kris and I had a fun and perfect-for-us 35-year anniversary today. We both worked on different things until around 2:30 pm, then we headed out to a favorite restaurant near the University we had not been in for 14 months. It had made it through and we split an order of fries and a really yummy vanilla shake (made from Almond milk and almond ice cream). It is heaven being vaccinated and not worrying about sitting in a restaurant after 14 months of staying at home. Wow!! Then we headed to a huge shopping mall on the Strip because, honestly we had never been in it in 3-plus years here…

Six Volume Collection of Kris and My SF Short Stories… The electronic copies went out to the Kickstarter backers who took the full set a month ago, the paper copies have all shipped and are now available for sale as well. Only the signed limited hardbacks are still going through the final shipping steps. Kris and I are both very, very proud of this collection. 60 science fiction short stories each. How much fun is that? And by reading these volumes you can really see the difference in our writing and our approach to the same genre. And we hope be entertained for a very long time. (grin) Here is…

Brand New Story Bundle…

Secrets imply something slightly nefarious, something untoward, something that must be kept hidden for…

The Fey Kickstarter Campaign
Is Live!! Folks, after almost twenty years, Kris is returning to The Fey and she needs your help. Watch her in the video and she explains it perfectly. She needs a deadline. Just with the idea of doing this campaign, she has spent a number of hours each day going back over the big seven books of The Fey, starting to put the entire world back in her head after twenty years. No small task, let me tell you. In the campaign there are some really cool things. Kris has already started a blog series that will go to her Patreon backers that will talk about all the ups and…
