    Having Too Much Fun…

I Had No Idea How Cool Products Can Be… Today, I got a Pulphouse Fiction Magazine mug in the mail. It is even better than I had hoped. You can get one and a subscription on the Pulphouse Fiction Magazine Kickstarter 2023 Subscription Drive. Or you can just add on one to a workshop or something. And after the Kickstarter is over we are planning a Pulphouse Shopify Store Grand Opening Sale. Stay tuned for details on that. It will have even more merchandise. But at the same time we got the mug, WMG Publishing sent me a wonderful picture of Stephanie Writt, who is working full time for us…

    Welcome Back!

Time of Great Forgetting Almost Over… So many writers (very few full professionals, but a ton of early professionals) just check out of writing and publishing starting in April and sort of return to writing and publishing in middle-to-late July. Now it has logical reasons. Spring and good weather, family vacations, a ton of other things around the house that just need to be done right now. So all the great intentions of writers in January are just sort of forgotten in April. Also, for early stage writers, the writing and publishing have not hit a level of importance yet to either them, or their family, to push them through.…

    Reminder!!

We Are Doing a Kickstarter!! I just wanted to remind everyone that we launched a Pulphouse Fiction Magazine Subscription Drive 2023 Kickstarter last week. We are well on our way to the third stretch goal! It’s on the third stretch goal that we open up Pulphouse Fiction Magazine to submissions for only the backers who help us on this subscription drive. That will be fun for me, the editor, to be honest. And I wanted to remind you that the magazine is going monthly now as well. I know that seems a big jump from six issues a year. And since the last subscription campaign, we only got out three…

    A Little Group Help…

Looking for Anyone Who Has Tried This… Or bought something from them. There is a new place that you can crowd fund a limited edition plushie. It is called Makeship.com. I have not signed up for an account to get behind the scenes, so I was wondering if anyone out there has tried it yet, either as a customer or started a campaign? Or has other information about them and their business. I know the campaigns run for 21 days, are very basic with one product (the plushie), and charge the customers retail value. I have figured out that they are limited editions and will not even start production unless…

All August Regular Workshops Now Available!

There Are Now 9 Regular Workshops… Not only are we keeping the normal regular workshops, but because of the new world going on with Indie Publishing, we are bringing back THE MAGIC BAKERY six week workshop. Critical to understanding how this new world and copyright is working for indie writers. We will be adding in new videos in THE MAGIC BAKERY throughout the six weeks. (Lifetime Workshop Subscribers, the new classes are already in your subscription.) Plus because we wanted to round out the offerings in the Depth series, we have brought back to regular status PLOTTING WITH DEPTH. It will also have new videos as we think they are…

    Got a Good Question…

Why That Art on the Top of this Web Site?? To start off, that art is by the fabulous Philcold, who does all of the art for my Seeders series. The art up top here is on the cover of my Thunder Mountain novel called Melody Ridge that I wrote back in 2018. But that novel is much more than another Thunder Mountain time travel novel. Here is the short version of the story. Way back in the 1970s, I wrote a story about a jukebox that takes a listener back physically to the memory of the song. First one I wrote I sent out without a sale and the…

    Magic Bakery Coming Back…

Magic Bakery, Depth in Action, and Plotting with Depth Workshops… First off, the Magic Bakery workshop is coming back as a regular workshop every month. Not just a resurrected one, but a full regular workshop with new added videos. (Yes, Lifetime Subscribers, it will be updated in your subscription.  All three of of these will.) With everything changing in indie publishing and so many critical reasons to understand the magic bakery concept in copyright, instead of just bringing the workshop back for one month, it’s going to stick around as a regular workshop every month. Also coming back as a regular workshop in August for a year or so is…

    Starting A Kickstarter Is Fun

I Have Done 33 Kickstarters Now!! They are always fun to start. The decisions and the work to put them together is also fun, but coming down to that moment you hit “Launch Project” is just exciting. It does not get old. I assume you know we launched a Pulphouse Fiction Magazine Subscription Drive 2023 Kickstarter about two days ago, right at noon. The patterns of Kickstarters is that for the first day or so, they really jump. Right now the Pulphouse Kickstarter funded in 40 minutes and in six hours had hit the first stretch goal. And now we are only a short distance from the next stretch goal.…

    Keeping the Streak…

Eleven Years Ago I Started This Blog Streak… Somehow, as of the first of August, I will have managed to not miss a night in all those years. Not one. I have no idea how I have managed that. So tonight I am tired, only surviving on 5 hours sleep and a nap, so I am posting this quick note to keep my streak alive. And I will be back here at noon West Coast time to tell you the Pulphouse Fiction Magazine 2023 Subscription Drive Kickstarter is launched. Pulphouse is going monthly. Need your help on the subscription drive to really get the new monthly off the ground. See…
