2019 Anthology Workshop and 2019 Master Business Class

Both Have Openings… Over the next few days I will be starting the 2019 Anthology Workshop group list. And sending out hotel information and first story information. Now granted, the workshop doesn’t happen until March 1st through 5th in Las Vegas. But there is three weeks of writing three stories at the end of November and early December, then time off for the holidays, then three more weeks of writing in January. Then a lot of reading. So really the workshop starts at the end of November. So time is almost up. That’s right, for the anthology workshop you will write six short stories to specific guidelines for real markets.…

Changing My New Office for the Challenge

Part of Getting Ready… This living at Pulp Speed Five 10-novel challenge has me really thinking about my new office. I really, really love it, but it dawned on me a couple days ago it is not well-arranged for writing long projects. Oh, oh, I think 10 novels in 100 days is a long writing project. (grin) I am in a fairly small space, which I love. My past offices were way too big. And here I am surrounded by three large iMac computers with extra screens. Six screens in total. I flat love that. But my writing computer is not in the right spot for comfort for long hours…

    The Two New Workshops Again

September Has Two New Workshops… Full descriptions below of the two new ones. I posted these a while back but I think they got missed. The How to Use Tags workshop is looking to be a special one. Difficult because most writers can’t begin to see them, but worth the time. To sign up for any of these, simply go to Teachable and sign up on the course directly. If you have a workshop credit you would like to use, or any questions, write me directly at dean.wmgworkshops@gmail.com Told you we were going to be doing a bunch of new workshops this year. Two in July and two in September…

Some Challenge and Lifetime Questions Answered

Lifetime Subscriptions and the Challenges… I got some more questions I thought were good ones about the lifetime subscriptions, so here on a Saturday night I figured I would quickly answer them to hit my streak of daily blogs. (grin) And remind you about the short story and novel challenge starting in September. First, to the Lifetime Subscription Questions… In the regular lifetime subscription, you get all regular workshops and classic workshops. There are a lot of them. In fact, if you paid for all the workshops in the subscription, it would cost over $13,000. Wow! No idea there were that many. The key is that you can take workshops…

There Are a Number… I got some questions over the last two days about the lifetime subscriptions to different areas and realized that I couldn’t remember ever putting all the information about them in one place. Write me at dean.wmgworkshops@gmail.com with any questions on these or to sign up. So here is all the information in one place. Off and Running

Also Getting Back Into Shape… The goal is 13 weeks from this weekend to run/walk in the Las Vegas Marathon and complete it around four hours. So not only with the writing goals, I have an exercise and health goal. I considered today Day One, and got off to a good start. Did well over 10,000 steps (5 miles plus) of which a half mile of that was running. I want to do about 40 miles per week of walking. Then over the next 13 weeks really ramp up the totals on the running. Can you tell I am getting settled in here in Vegas? (grin) Reminder!!! August Regular Workshops…

    All August Workshops Started

But Still Time To Join One or More of Them… August Regular Online Workshops have all started. There are very few signed up for these August workshops. Remember, the workshops only take a few hours a week of your time, so even for a month like August it should be possible. And September there will be a new workshop or two announced. And some new lectures as well. And the reading list will go out for the first Study Along Workshop in September as well. And September starts the new short story and novel challenge. Still spots in both if you are thinking about it. The goal is thirty short stories…
