    A Sort of Repeat

Still Having a Little Site Issue… So while the issue is getting cleared up, with luck by tomorrow (Monday), I figured I would just tell you again about the Pulphouse Fiction Magazine Kickstarter. We made our goal in just three days, which was wonderful!!  And stunning. And now we are getting close to our first stretch goal. So thank you, everyone who supported this new/old project. It’s going to be great fun! The kickstarter is at: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/403649867/pulphouse-fiction-magazine You really want to watch the fun video that Kris did to show the history of Pulphouse. It shows me and Kris aging very, very quickly. (grin) Also, September (last month) was the…

    The Nifty Video

Watch Kris and I Age… This is the video that is on the Pulphouse Fiction Magazine kickstarter. Kris did it and I think caught the attitude of both the history and the magazine. Take a look if you haven’t seen it. Kris and I age. (grin) And right now, as I post this, we are at $4,000, only $1,000 away from making the goal in just two days. That makes my heart glad that our history with Pulphouse is coming back in this new form, with some writers from the original magazine and some fantastic new writers. And remember, you can get discounts on workshops and lectures while supporting Pulphouse.…

I Have A Publishing Belief System

Actually, a number of them… No surprise to anyone who follows this blog, huh? So let me explain a few of my belief systems. Agents… Agents should pay authors what is called a “shopping agreement fee” for the right to submit their manuscript to editors. Shopping agreements are used all the time in Hollywood and are basically a fee like $1,000 for a limited time (six months to a year) for the right to shop the work. Author keeps the money no matter if the work sells or not. (That would put some skin in the game for agents.) The writer is the one who did the work, owns the…

Pulphouse Fiction Magazine Is Coming Back!

Pulphouse Fiction Magazine That’s right, after twenty years, Pulphouse returns. Kris and I are bringing it back. I figured I had better talk a little about it here since I am the editor and I bought some really stunning and wonderful Pulphouse stories for the magazine this last week. But just to be clear, Kris is with me on this. Pulphouse was always the two of us and even though WMG Publishing Inc. is now the company behind Pulphouse, the magazine is still our vision. First Some History Kris and I started Pulphouse Publishing in 1987 and dissolved the corporation in 1996. We started off with Pulphouse: The Hardback Magazine and…
