A Question About My Challenge…
“Am I Running Out of Ideas?” That was the question and it is a good question if you believe in all the myths of fiction writing, as we all do and did in our early days. For me, just to be clear… I never write down ideas. I mostly just ignore them. I never know what I am going to write ahead of time. I sometimes don’t know until the end of the story. I finish all stories I start. I use a trigger like a title of a phrase or image of a character to start my stories. I write stories only for myself and no one else. And…

Great Fantasy in the Kickstarter and Now a Fantasy Bundle… So Yesterday at noon we started a really fun Kickstarter project for three of Kris’s Epic Fantasy novels. CHALLENGE UPDATE…
For January and February… REPORTING February 28th, 2025 Total is from January 1st to February 28th… 189.680 words. 54 Stories, 5 Novel Starts so far. (I count the novel starts as a story in my story per day challenge.) Averaging about 3,215 words per day. That is close to Pulp 2 speed. February turned out to be a rough month in a number of places and lack of time. March is feeling like it will be better. I had no novel starts in February until the last eight days. Then I had two Thunder Mountain novel starts and a Cold Poker Gang novel start. Nature of the challenge, but annoying…

From Her Perspective on the Rock ‘n Roll Half Marathon… As anything Kris does, really clearly written and fun to read, even if I was one of those stragglers managing to get to food. The real challenge of that run wasn’t the 13 miles because that was all in the middle of the street. The real challenge was going that far and then having to go another three miles through and around and up stairs and down stairs in and out of six or seven casinos and hotels. Not Much To Say About the Story Challenge…
I Just Manage to Work At It Every Night… Sometimes also during an afternoon. Taking me from 2 to 3 hours a day. Often in the first 45 minutes I manage around 500 words, then take a break and I get about 1,300 words an hour from there. Kris is reading a story as she has a chance. She has read about thirty or so of them. And I am using some of them to fill up the last volume of the third Marble Grant collection. (Thought I had enough without checking… so wrote some in January and some this month to fill the collection.) They should be out later…
