Great Friends and Fun Things to Do… Today, because housekeepers were swarming all over our place, Kris and I got out, had a great lunch, and then spent some hours in Cowboy Christmas in the convention center. Six billion booths and people on two floors of the old massive convention center. Everything you can imagine and a bunch of stuff I couldn’t imagine. But seeing the giant booth of Yellowstone merchandise was fun with the licensing side. We went in, walked to the back, and started back forward in a different aisle. Just For Fun… This is a picture taken by photographer Beth Gwinn of a large group of writers and editors at Westercon in 2000 or 2001. Not sure. About twenty years ago. Looks like some sort of Locus Award ceremony. Sadly, a lot of the people in this picture are now no longer with us. And I suck at names, so I am going to miss a few. Very sorry about that. Last Fall
Kris and I Ran a Lot of Fun Runs… Wow, that seems like a long time ago. But the running group I have joined put on four or five of those, and are trying to put on three of them this fall again. They were the group behind a large run called Vegas Strong to benefit the shooting victims. That would be running in a week, but was cancelled because it was just too big to be done safely. The other three they put on are still under review and might work because the runners can go out in waves. I used those runs last year to stay motivated and…
