    August Workshops Starting Up

It’s That Time… August Regular Online Workshops are starting up. Actually, this caught me by surprise tonight as well. Sort of snuck up on me to be honest with all the travel and move stuff. But now I am settled into my new office and moving forward again just in time for these to get started. To be honest, there are very few signed up for these August workshops. Almost everyone will get a private lesson. Remember, the workshops only take a few hours a week of your time, so even for a month like August it should be possible. And September there will be a new workshop announced. And…

    Lifetime Subscription to Vegas Workshops

Amazing Fun Stuff… We just announced the new Study Along workshops where online you can study along with the Vegas craft workshops. And we offered a lifetime subscription to that. Now, in preparation for the 20th year of the in-person workshops, first here at the coast, now in Las Vegas, WMG Publishing Inc. has decided to offer a really good deal for the in-person workshops. A Vegas Workshop Lifetime Subscription to any and all Las Vegas in-person workshops. Each workshop fee is $750 and we have eight planned for 2019 (plus one in October this year that is still taking sign-ups). One 2019 workshop is not announced yet, but will…

    Study Along Workshops

A Brand New Form of Workshop for WMG Publishing… Study Along Workshops will allow writers to follow part of the intense craft workshops being held in Las Vegas, only online. We have been wanting to do this for a few years now, and finally the move to Las Vegas of the in-person workshops and the nifty features of Teachable have allowed it to finally happen. This is a hybrid new form of workshop. Give me a second to explain. Vegas Craft Workshops… For those of you who do not know, Kristine Kathryn Rusch teaches the craft workshops. Those of you who have been through one or two can tell everyone…

The Passive Guy Comes To The Master Business Class

Great Fun and Great Learning… That’s right, the Passive Guy of ThePassiveVoice.com will be one of main instructors this year at the Publishing Master Business Workshop.  For those who don’t know his real name, it is David P. Vandagriff. He is a national IP lawyer, knows more about copyright than even I do, is fantastic at publishing contracts, and is a super nice guy. His wife, a major bestselling romance writer in both traditional and indie will be coming along and being in the class.  Mark Leslie (Lefebvre), Kristine Kathryn Rusch, and I will be the three main folks running the show.  Mark and I and Kris will be there…

    All July Workshops Started

July Regular Workshops… This might be out best list for a month of workshops we have ever done with the addition of the Magic Bakery workshop and Information Flow. I am very, very pleased these workshops have come this far. And are still moving forward. You can find the workshops under Online Workshops to the right of this post. Sign up for July on Teachable.com. For credits or workshops beyond July, write me. Each regular workshop is 6 weeks long. Something Special For Lifetime Workshop Subscribers… After some discussion at WMG Publishing, we have decided to occasionally offer something special to the Online Workshop Lifetime Subscribers. Not all of the lifetime subscribers will be able to take us up on the offer, but we want to make the offer anyhow. So we want to offer a $750 Publishing Master Business Class to anyone who is a lifetime subscriber between now and September 1st. That’s right, $750 tuition on us. I have sent letters to all lifetime workshop subscribers giving them the details. If you become a lifetime workshop subscriber before then, the offer will stand for you as well. The…

    That Was Very Interesting…

THANK YOU!… Everyone, for the feedback, both in the comments and in letters. Both Kris and I were surprised, to be honest. The desire for a depth-like workshop talking about information flow was across the board. And even the Magic Bakery had a lot of people wanting to take it. Plus we got a bunch of other ideas for workshops. Some were on our lists like a Romance online workshop (very different from the intense craft Romance workshop Kris will do in Vegas next year). But one idea hadn’t occurred to us and that was a workshop about how to use tags. Tags are one of the most powerful tools…
