Two Fantastic Additions to The Master Business Class

Still Four Spots Open for Sign-Ups… And now I can proudly add two fantastic new faces to the group pouring out more information than all of us will be able to handle in five days. And both have major experience running large indie presses. Allyson Longueira and Marie Whittaker. That’s right, they are both coming! Marie Whittaker is an award-winning essayist and author of urban fantasy, children’s books and supernatural thrillers. Science Fiction Study Along Craft Workshop

A Reminder… I will be starting up the email group tomorrow for those attending the Science Fiction Craft Workshop here in Las Vegas in January.  The workshop is taught by Hugo Award winning editor and writer, Kristine Kathryn Rusch. But if you can’t make it to Las Vegas, the best way to take the class is on Teachable with the Science Fiction Study Along Craft Workshop. The workshop is January 24th – 28th, but the reason this is starting up so early is that there is a reading list and Kris wants everyone to have enough time to read everything she assigns. Both those coming to Las Vegas and those…

    Forgot To Mention

All Short Stories Are Read for the Challenge… I am finally back up to date to this week. Really fun reading, to be honest. Sadly, numbers of writers have now dropped out and I only have five novels to read for the novel challenge, which I will be doing this next week. So both the Great Challenge for a short story per week and the Great Novel Challenge for a new novel every two months has lots of open spots. Come on folks, keep me reading. I really do enjoy it. Even when I get behind due to other things, it was a blast focusing on reading and getting caught…

    September Regular Workshops Starting

Yes, They Are Starting… It Really Is September… August seems to have vanished, we are past the time of great forgetting and time to fire back up on your writing. And workshops can help you get the focus back. But something special about these September regular workshops. After September, four of these workshops will no longer be regular workshops, but instead will be classic. That’s right, for almost half of these workshops it will be the last time you can take it with homework turned in. Research, Author Voice, Point of View, and Novel Structure are all going to Classic after this month. So if you want to take these workshop…

    New Pop-Up

Pop-Up #13… As You Write… How to do World Building, Create Characters, and Outline As You Write. All kinds of fun stuff in this one, plus the story prompt is writing another story for Pulphouse Fiction Magazine if you want. Remember, these things go away quickly. The Flash Fiction will go away in one week, or at least the deadline for the story will. This one is already in the bundle for the 11-20 and the bundle for 11-15 Pop-Ups. And you can still get the bundles for the first ten if you want. All are in there. Best way by far to buy these Pop-Ups. I’m kind of liking…

    Quick Afternoon Post

WMG Publishing Master Business Class… Hotel information sent over the list. So check that and get your room if you are signed up. It is really the best all around to be in the room block for the workshop. Once we fill the room block, everyone gets more discounts and a bunch of free stuff. I will be sending out more invites shortly to the Master Class group list for those who are signed up, but not on that list yet. So far here are the guests I can think of off the top of my head… Mark Leslie from D2D will be there. Also a major editor and writer.…
