SPECIAL OFFER FROM ME…
Workshops Are In Second Week!! I realized that yesterday after doing the post about the workshops closing later in the week, and then tonight I was doing assignments and starting the second weeks. As I was doing that, I realized that almost no one would jump in after missing the first week and the first assignment. Especially with the Collection Classes. So I talked to Kris about my idea and she said, “If you don’t mind the extra work.” So my SPECIAL OFFER IS THIS… If you jump into one of the Regular Workshops, Collection Classes, and Advanced Pacing Class, and send the first assignment with the second one this…

Today Everything Has Started…
Stunning Amounts of Stuff… Wow, was this a busy start to a new year for new workshops, Kickstarter, diet, and exercise. I signed up for the tracking of trying to run/walk 2023 miles in 2023. For me that is just over 11,000 steps a day without missing for an entire year. Yeah, that’s a streak. Down two pounds on my first weigh-in of the year on Monday, so considering the holidays, a total win. And I am slowly trying to bring up the running a little without damaging my old knees. Mostly just walking the 5.5 miles a day at the moment. The eye is slowly improving but still really…

December Regular Workshops Starting…
Tuesday and Wednesday… If you want to see the list of the December regular workshops, go to Study With Dean That is the new WMGWorkshops.com web site where links will take you directly to the class instead of having to search on Teachable. We will have them sorted in short order by craft, business, and attitude, as well as by types of workshops. Not all links are there yet, but it is happening quickly. All the workshops that I do regularly such as the regular workshops, collection classes, Decade Ahead, Bite-Sized Copyright, and others will be under Study with Dean, as well as in the entire list and other places.…

Coming Out of a Fog
Finally Coming Back… Been dealing with this eye injury for about a month now, then got a horrid cold, worst one I have had in years, actually, that made my eyes blurry on top of the injury. So a fun couple of days being mostly blind and sneezing. Joy. But as the cold slowly clears, I feel like I am coming out of a fog bank and seeing the sun again. And clearly, under the cold-caused crap, my eyes are slowly improving. Yay! A couple more days and I will only be dealing with the eye issues again. So sitting here at this computer tonight, with the screens blown up…

COLLECTION CLASSES 2023
INCLUDES 2021, 2022, AND 2023 CLASSES I am in the process of launching two or three of these a night. So they will be appearing on Teachable as this week and into next week. There are 24 choices of Collection Classes including six new in 2023. Each class is 9 weeks long and you write five stories, do titles and blurbs and covers and publish the collection by the end of the nine weeks. If you turn in all nine assignments (5 are stories) you get credit for a Pop-Up of your choice. The title of the class is the theme of the collection, but no genre restrictions at all.…

Workshops Not Ending… Only the Sales
Thank you for the kind words, everyone… But a lot of you are making it sound as if the workshops are going away. Nope, just the sales, and I do understand that will limit a number of you going forward. Just nothing we can do if we want to get these out to as many writers as possible who might need them. So here is what is happening that we have planned now for the workshops that I can talk about or announce… First, we will keep doing new regular workshops. The six that are there for November are the core. Other new ones will be added in and then…

Some Updates
A Bunch of Stuff… First off, my eyes are still recovering, so I am slow to answer some email and read stories. Please pardon me. Not straining my poor one remaining eye at the moment for anything. (grin) Second… The last workshop sale is going on right now. Ends on Sunday, and yes, look back a few posts and I explain why this is the last workshop sale, forever. To get anything on WMG Teachable, simply find the course and the hit purchase and then on the next page put in the code: TheLastSale And hit apply and you should get the class for 50% off. WMG Holiday Spectacular 2022
Kickstarter Campaign… Funded in less than an hour and hit the first stretch goal in less than 12 hours. Wow!! And this one we are doing 16 days instead of 9 days. So with luck, we’ll finally get the fun holiday calendar of stories to a place we have been hoping it would get to for the last three years. 39 stories this year, one delivered every day from Thanksgiving (November 24th through January 1st. Over thirty professional writers wrote for it. Hugo Award winning editor Kristine Kathryn Rusch did all the editing. Talk about fun. And two special workshops on the topics of two of the anthologies Kris will…
