Last Day of the Anthology Workshop…
Bummed the Next One Is Two Full Years Away… This was so much fun, as much as I remember them being. And we got six new Fiction River volumes out of it, plus I bought eight stories for Pulphouse Fiction Magazine. Over 2025 we will be rebranding all of the Fiction River volumes, plus publishing these new six, so that will be exciting. Wow were there a lot of great stories. Now I need sleep, a full night’s sleep if possible.

Day Two Of Anthology Workshop
Fantastic Fun!! Even though I only got a few hours sleep. Great stories, great conversations, way too much food. And most of all great people. So wonderful to have the Anthology Workshop back.

Day One of Anthology Workshop…
Really Fun! And I even managed to buy two stories for Pulphouse Fiction Magazine. I actually wanted to buy five, but the editors of the anthologies had first choice and they wanted the stories for their Fiction River anthologies. But I am happy to get two great stories. And ended up in some great conversations on writing and kickstarters. So much fun. So I have some work to do before I go try to get some sleep and fire into day two. Night…

ANTHOLOGY IN-PERSON WORKSHOP
Anthology Workshop Starts Two Weeks From Today All the writing is done for the six anthologies, both for the writers attending and the writers doing the Prepare Ahead classes. (Actually those attending got the Prepare Ahead classes for free.) Editors and those attending are now reading. The six anthologies that will be put together at the anthology class will be brand new volumes of Fiction River, our wonderful anthology series that we had to shut down because of the pandemic. They will be released through Kickstarter promotions over the next two years as we rebrand and relaunch Fiction River, all of the previous volumes, all fifty or sixty of them.…

ANTHOLOGY WORKSHOP DETAILS…
Wow, Will This Be Fun! Those of you already signed up, no worries, I will be contacting you in a few weeks or so. But right now I wanted to let everyone know we have the editors all lined up. First let me tell you how this works. Months ahead of time, through me, the editors all send out guidelines for their anthologies. You have a deadline to write each story for each anthology. Usually one week.) All the editors read every story, even if the story is for another anthology. Then during the workshop all the editors up front comment on the story, usually a —“I really liked this…

Anthology Workshop Dates Set…
August 5th through 8th… We thought it would be the middle of July, but typical Las Vegas, too much stuff going on and too expensive. So we have a great room rate and conference room and night meeting room starting on Monday, August 5th and going through noon on Thursday, August 8th. Resorts World. Las Vegas. Going to be so much fun and so much learning. Loren Coleman and I were talking just today about a special Kickstarter anthology session just to give writers a nifty way to make money with friends. One of many fun ides that we could not do back in 2020. I wrote everyone signed up…

Anthology Workshop Is Back!!!
After Three Years… Before my big crash and burn and surgery, we had planned to announce on November 1 that we were starting up the Anthology Workshop again. If you want to sign up, here is how you do it…. If you have attended an in-person workshop before, simply send the $900 fee to PayPal using this address: dean@wmgpublishingstore.com Then email me that you have done so. I will let you know…

ANTHOLOGY WORKSHOP PUSHED BACK ONE YEAR
No Surprise to Anyone… We have officially pushed back the anthology workshop from Feb 2021 to February 28th through March 3rd, 2022. The writing for the anthology workshop always starts in November. We did not feel that it would be safe yet for anyone to really travel in seven months from now. So we’re giving it another year with the hope that things can be under control by early 2022. We did add in a bonus for those signed up and paid and who are holding over the year to 2022. Kris will need the Holiday Spectacular stories again, so anyone signed up and paid will be invited by Kris…

Anthology Workshop
Decision Time for 2021… A week from Friday the 2020 Anthology workshop will be starting here in Las Vegas. The writers have been writing since the last week of November and now all of us are reading like crazy. The writers wrote for seven paying anthologies and one brand new major magazine. Plus I am always looking to buy for Pulphouse Fiction Magazine during this anthology workshop. But this workshop loses WMG money and we have been talking about cancelling the Anthology workshop for next year (2021), first to save the money and second to allow Fiction River to get caught up. Actually, this year there is only one Fiction…
