Update on 70’s Challenge…
With Just Under One Month Left Before I Turn 71… My number is 65. So far. 54 books published, eleven in and scheduled to be published this month. (5 publishing tomorrow, actually) Allyson and Gwyneth at WMG Publishing are just amazing, and are stunningly supportive of this craziness. None of us want to try it again, granted, but we are all focused on making it this once. And Kris has been very encouraging even though it has taken me a vast amount of time and energy. Some Nifty Updates
And a Fun Book If We Get There… On the Pulphouse Fiction Magazine Kickstarter campaign, I had added a Christmas anthology of Pulphouse stories at the top level. Yesterday, Allyson reminded me that we had a Christmas collection of Pulphouse stories as a stretch reward before that we never got to. It was titled JINGLE MY BELLS (love that title) and we even have a cover for it. (Cover below…) So I added that into the top level of the Kickstarter and put up the cover on the campaign. Book #3 of 70 Book Challenge
Came Out Today… This is the third book published in twenty days. Great fun. If I managed 2 books every twenty days, that will get me to about 56 books, if I average three books every twenty days, that will get me above 70. So on target so far!! The book that came out today is Book #7 Year of the Cat: A Cat of Heroic Heart. Kris and I are co-editing this series of 100 cat stories. The books are great fun. Book #2 of 70 Book Challenge
Just Came Out on November 17th… So two books in the first week of the challenge. How fun is that? The challenge is to publish 70 major books while I am 70 years old. And just like the first book, this book is now premiering in a nifty new Space Opera Storybundle curated by Robert Jeschonek. The first book of the challenge is still in the Crime Storybundle. Publishing 70 Books In One Year…
I’m Doing It! In my 67th year, three years ago, I started a challenge to publish 67 books in my 67th year. Then things kind of went sideways with a life roll and because Kris was so sick I moved her down here to Las Vegas just after the first of the year and then had to clean out our big house and the challenge went by the wayside.
