Colliding Worlds Sent to Backers…
All Six Books in Electronic Format… At the moment, only the backers on the Kickstarter Colliding Worlds project got them. The paper and signed copies will take another month and it all will go on sale in the middle of April. I am really looking forward to seeing this set on my shelf. Kris and I are both really happy with how it turned out, to be honest. We each gave a new life to sixty of our short stories, ten each in each book. What a fun idea that was. I will let you all know when they are for sale to the general public. Amazing how many science…

March Workshops Started… March workshops are now live and the April regular workshops are available to sign up. But more importantly, the half-price sale is almost over. Ends Thursday at 5 pm. And wouldn’t this be wonderful with the news today if this was the last one because the pandemic is getting close to being over? So just use the code AGAIN to get anything on Teachable at half price. If you have any questions…

Workshop Sale AGAIN!!
Back to School, AGAIN… Workshop Half-Price Sale As I said two months ago, I honestly never would have predicted this last spring. Not in a million years. Not many did and those who did warn us of this, none of us listened to. We just couldn’t imagine being locked up for a year. But at least now we have some hope on the horizon with the vaccines going out. But they won’t do much good especially over the coming months. Back when WMG Publishing did what we all thought here would be the last workshop sale way back in May, 2020, we had an expectation that as things opened up,…

Colliding Worlds Five Volume Set…
100 Science Fiction Stories… Fifty from Kris, fifty from me, in a five volume set. Colliding Worlds We are slightly over halfway through the campaign and it is doing great. We hit the third stretch goal, so everyone gets more books and two classic workshops. Basically, tThis is us having a great time. We have also talked about doing joint collections of some sort of another, and then Gwyneth came up with the idea of us putting 100 of our science fiction stories in the same set of five books called COLLIDING WORLDS and both Kris and I loved the idea. Really, if you have a few minutes, watch the…

Why The Vastness of Space Workshop…
Because It Is Fun To Learn and Use In Fiction… Really is that simple. Problem is, so many writers (and I have read three just lately) who do not know space terms and measurements, or do not know how to fake it, or go around it. And using a term wrong is deadly to a story. The problem is that for almost all humans, understanding real distances in space is just almost impossible. Unless you work on it and are interested in it, your mind will not even pretend to grasp the real distances of space. But this does not mean you can’t write space opera and science fiction. Quite…

Slight Bump In Challenge
As Expected… Which is why I talked about how I can do two and three and even once four full short stories in one day. I expect to get behind. And my focus is to hit 31 stories in January to start with. My bet is the reason I am behind a story or so is the same reason many of you are behind. Major election which flipped the Senate… Up most of the night watching that. Got up today, did some shopping as planned and had riots in Washington by the time I got home Since that is history and stunning beyond words, had to watch that, and then…
