I Want My Hour Back…
I Write Late At Night… Suddenly, even though I knew it was coming, I lost an hour of writing time. Just poof!! Gone. But still managed to get a lot done today. Everyone who was interested in my coaching on the publishing side I got back to. (Still two spots open… write me.) The workshops on those areas are for the moment on hold. Just could not get them worked out the way I wanted. They were going to be on three areas. (Same areas the coaching is in…) From manuscript to book laid out and published around the world in electronic and paper. From publishing through building a publishing…

3 EPIC FANTASY NOVELS…
WRITTEN BY KRISTINE KATHRYN RUSCH… That is the Kickstarter we have starting tomorrow. Brand new editions of THE WHITE MISTS OF POWER, HEART READERS, and TRAITORS. All three books stand alone and are fantastic epic fantasy, so in bringing them forward into the light, Kris felt they all belonged together, so we branded them together. Turned out fantastic. And the two special writing workshops in this one are great. One is HOW TO REVIVE GREAT OLDER NOVELS AND STORIES. I noticed as we were working on this project, there were a bunch of steps to bringing a book out of the dark. So we thought we would show all of…

CHALLENGE UPDATE…
For January and February… REPORTING February 28th, 2025 Total is from January 1st to February 28th… 189.680 words. 54 Stories, 5 Novel Starts so far. (I count the novel starts as a story in my story per day challenge.) Averaging about 3,215 words per day. That is close to Pulp 2 speed. February turned out to be a rough month in a number of places and lack of time. March is feeling like it will be better. I had no novel starts in February until the last eight days. Then I had two Thunder Mountain novel starts and a Cold Poker Gang novel start. Nature of the challenge, but annoying…

Kris Post On Facebook…
From Her Perspective on the Rock ‘n Roll Half Marathon… As anything Kris does, really clearly written and fun to read, even if I was one of those stragglers managing to get to food. The real challenge of that run wasn’t the 13 miles because that was all in the middle of the street. The real challenge was going that far and then having to go another three miles through and around and up stairs and down stairs in and out of six or seven casinos and hotels. (First time I ever set foot in the Waldorf…) I kept being short with Kris every time she called me because I…

Not Much To Say About the Story Challenge…
I Just Manage to Work At It Every Night… Sometimes also during an afternoon. Taking me from 2 to 3 hours a day. Often in the first 45 minutes I manage around 500 words, then take a break and I get about 1,300 words an hour from there. Kris is reading a story as she has a chance. She has read about thirty or so of them. And I am using some of them to fill up the last volume of the third Marble Grant collection. (Thought I had enough without checking… so wrote some in January and some this month to fill the collection.) They should be out later…

Still Recovering…
Very Sore Feet… But they are getting better. And I got a lot of workshop stuff and email done today, so slowly getting caught up. Story challenge just keeps going along. Giving it a focus and the story lengths are under 2,000 words, but still chugging. I will do some longer updates in the next few days on the challenge. LIFETIME EVERYTHING SUBSCRIPTION… Just three more days to get it at half price for the Lifetime Everything Subscription on Teachable. We started the sale for February but I have said almost nothing about it. This is a stunningly good deal if you plan on really working on your writing into…

Always a Battle On Monday…
Lot of Email and Workshop Stuff On Mondays… So getting a daily story done is a battle, carving out the time. Every Monday is a victory when a story gets done and tonight it was a Marble Grant story called “A Window for No Time.” Love that title. Got kind of snarky with the story, which was also fun. I am so looking forward to starting the next stage of this, which is ramping up the publishing part. I will feel a lot better if Kris has read a month’s worth of stories before I fire into that. So not far off. Shortest story so far is 1,600 words and…

Still Going Strong On Challenge…
A Short Post Here Tonight… Finished a weird Bryant Street story (they are all weird), then Kris and I watched a bunch of television. Then I read a wonderful new novella from Kris and along with two naps, a writer lunch, some walking, and a webinar, that ate up the day. Fun day. CRAFT IN THE 21ST CENTURY… This class on WMG Teachable is something Kris really wanted to do. She will be recording videos every week and they will come out on Monday some time. No assignments, just learning about how some craft things have changed in the 21st century. She has already recorded the first videos for Monday.…

Story A Day Challenge Going Great!
And I Am Still Having Fun! Tonight I got a few more stories spellchecked and ready for Kris to read, and then worked on a Bryant Street story. The stories I got ready for Kris were a Poker Boy story and a Seeders Universe story. So I am all over the map. With luck, my new Shopify Store will be ready and I will have together and in the publishing process the first two or three ten-story collections. So going along with the writing just fine, slowly building up the publishing side. Got to have that publishing side or like the last time I tried this challenge, I will bog…

Clocks Ticking…
40 HOURS LEFT ON MARBLE GRANT KICKSTARTER We hit the special stretch goal and are close to another that also includes a free workshop. But just less than two days to go. Ends at 7pm Thursday night. Here is the link to it. Marble Grant Kickstarter Also the two workshops in this one might be the most fun workshops we have done. I know I am going to have a blast with them, since Marble Grant and Sims are both ghosts in Las Vegas who love to party, love each other, and love to help people. Here is the information from the campaign about the two special workshops… These will…
