This ends on Thursday at 7 pm West Coast Time.

RESCUE TWO Kickstarter Campaign

Last night I talked about the really nifty special workshops available only in this campaign. Earlier I detailed out the two Lifetime Subscriptions, including the new one for Pop-Ups, available in this campaign.

Today we hit the 9th Stretch Goal. So that means any backer of any reward gets the following extra books and Pop-Up writing classes.

Ebooks

  • A Billion Earths: A Seeders Universe Collection
  • Life of a Dream: An Earth Protection League Novel
  • Ball of Confusion: An Earth Protection League Novel
  • The End Might Be Interesting After All (short story collection)
  • Time for Cool Madness: A Marble Grant Collection
  • A Case for Aliens (short story collection)
  • Playing a Hunch (A Poker Boy collection)
  • The Big Tom (A Pakhet Jones novel)
  • Card Sharp Silver (A Cave Creek novel)

Writing classes on Teachable (valued at $150 each)

  • Pop-Up #70: WORLD BUILDING INSIDE OUR SOLAR SYSTEM
  • Pop-Up #71: WORLD BUILDING INSIDE OUR LOCAL GALAXY SECTOR
  • Pop-Up #72: WORLD BUILDING INSIDE OUR FULL GALAXY
  • Pop-Up #73: WORLD BUILDING ON A COLONY PLANET
  • Pop-Up #74: WORLD BUILDING IN NEAR FUTURE SCIENCE FICTION
  • Pop-Up #75: WORLD BUILDING IN FAR FUTURE SCIENCE FICTION
  • Pop-Up #76: WORLD BUILDING IN HISTORICAL SCIENCE FICTION
  • Pop-Up #77: WORLD BUILDING IN ALTERNATE WORLD SCIENCE FICTION

So that is nine extra books and $1,200 in writing classes for all backers. Help us pass the word. Still two days to go and more stretch goals to hit.

If you love science fiction then you really do need to back this great Kickstarter, not only because the Seeders books are great reads. But because of the great discounted workshops too!

In case you think the Lifetime Subscriptions are too much money and not worth it, I cannot stress enough how great they are. My own writing are transformed so much because of these subscriptions and even the workshops you would never buy or normally take (Like I would never take a Writing Western workshop because the genre isn’t what I like), there are always great gems in all the workshops.

So even if you don’t like sci-fi defintely check out the lifetime subscriptions, they’ve easily paid for themselves three times over!

And sci-fi writers, why pass up the opportunity to learn about idea fiction and writing about time? I normally use the (INSERT NUMBER) Earth Standard Weeks or Years, but it’ll be great to learn other tricks too!

Back it now! There isn’t a lot of time left!

    Hi Dean,

I’m wholly unfamiliar with Kickstarter so I want to make sure I’m not (or rather, that I am) overthinking this:

On the kickstarter it says ‘every backer at any reward level above $5 will get the extra books and writing classes offered in the stretch rewards’, which sounds to me like $15 rewards and up, but not the $5 (and potentially not anything customised to $14 and under). But here you say it’s *any* rewards, which does seem to conflict with that the kickstarter itself stipulates.

Can you confirm which way I ought to be interpreting? Thanks!

Oh, don’t adjust your set! Yes, the rewards seem too good to be true. But $5 gets you all the stretch rewards, and it’s pretty great.

So, throw in $5 or more and get an early copy of the new Seeders book, which will make sense if you haven’t read the others, because Dean’s a professional. Plus 9 other scifi stories and collections, and 8 writing pop-up classes.

Or, go in and pledge for any of the other rewards instead, and get the reward you pledged *plus* everything I mentioned. Every pledge level that’s $5 or more gets all of the bonuses. And WMG Publishing has a fantastic track record of delivering on their promises.

But be warned: I’m pretty sure the campaign is going to hit one last stretch goal before it’s over, which means you’re going to get even more great stuff. So $5 or more and you’re guaranteed what’s promised now, and there’s a chance for a little bit more. Be brave!

Thanks, Nathan. Going to do a blog tonight explaining why we do this. I know it seems totally crazy, but it really isn’t when you look at what Kris and I do in normal life. And how we approach our writing and such. So a blog tonight on the topic.
