Kris’s Birthday…

After a fun dinner at Kris’s favorite restaurant last night, we watched the last half of the Mission Impossible first movie in this series (Came out a few years back.). Then this morning we headed out to watch the second half movie in the theater. First time we had been to a theater in a very long time, what with everything last year.

Movie was good, as expected, sf premise. I had forgotten how much fun going to a movie was in a real theater. Especially a big action movie like Mission Impossible.

Then we headed for a nice dinner, then got home just in time to head down to our office for a cake party for Kris. Eight top fiction writers were there to eat this fantastically yummy cake with Kris. Steph had decorated the office and it was a ton of fun.

Kris tells me she had a really fun couple of birthday days. I sure had fun joining her for the two days of celebration.

The cake was a work of art. The artist made a cat out of cake. Here is an image of the top of the cake. The flowers around the cat are real. Eight of us managed to only eat about half the cake and we managed to save the cat.
