Challenge Reporting
Writers Reporting In…
Writers taking the challenges don’t have to report into me each month, but it tends to help a lot of writers in these different challenges to stay focused and moving forward. And I report my word count each month as well on the right side of this page.
A lot of writers did great in April, a lot of us (me included) did not have great months. Right now, after two bad months, I am barely (and I do mean barely) on the million words a year pace, otherwise known as Pulp 1. I am going to need some great months to pop back up to Pulp 2 speed (1,200,000 words per year) and really great months to get back to what I was aiming for at Pulp 3 speed. (1,400,000 words per year.) Planning toward those great months.
Even if you are not in one of the challenges, I hope your writing is going well and above what you planned for yourself for the year. We are only 1/3 of the way through the year, so more than enough time to get back on track and have a great year.
As someone said, “An ounce of action can crush a ton of fear.”
Get writing and have fun.

My goal was 42K per month. 3 months I’ve managed 50K. Feb did 46K. So im doing really well on the writing front this year. May change my annual word count goal come midyear. We’ll see if I can maintain this pace. Best of luck with your writing and goals
