A Catch-Up Day
Also Got Walking In…
Started off late and had a ton of errands and meetings, some of which I didn’t make. But I did manage to get my five miles in today, thanks to Matt and Kris walking with me a different times. Thanks!
Worked at WMG for a very short time, then home to take a nap and cook dinner. Then the e-mail stuff and some Strengths workshop assignments.
Then I got to read short stories, which were fun. I should be completely caught up on those this weekend and the four writers in the May challenge will be offered the off-ramp at that point to see if they want to convert that challenge into two monthly online workshops.
The other two challenges starts on June 1st. Both the novel and the June short story challenge. I’m looking forward to them. I am really enjoying reading the stories from the May writers.

Branding
Kris, in case you didn’t read her new blog, is starting a major new series on branding. You will want to be reading it, trust me.
In conjunction with that, Allyson Longueira is going to do a very special four-week workshop on cover branding. In it she will actually design, to your specifications, a cover for you to use as a template to brand a series. (And you will get the template.)
And she and I will be doing a bunch of videos on cover branding as well. We will announce it here on Monday.
It is a one-time only thing and very limited.
In case some of you don’t know, Allyson Longueira is the publisher of WMG Publishing Inc. She has a masters in design and is an award-winning designer.
She has helped a few writers over the years with covers, mostly at our major workshops here at the coast. She does not do freelance cover work. So getting a chance for Allyson to do a cover for you and help you learn how to brand your own stuff is a rare chance.
Allyson can see things in covers us mere mortals can’t see.
So watch for the announcement on Monday morning (my Sunday night). I will have the entire four week curriculum laid out and how it will work and what you will get for your $300.
(The Kickstarter and specials from last fall can’t be used for this I’m afraid. Those were just for the regular monthly workshops.)
