We have two special workshops for writers in this campaign. And the only place you will ever be able to get either one is right here.  You can buy either one or you can buy them both together at a discount. Both workshops are three weeks long, and the final week’s assignment for both workshops will be to write a short story that Kris will read for the 2022 Holiday Spectacular.

Special Workshop #1…HOW TO WRITE A STORY FOR THE HOLIDAY SPECTACULAR 2022!

For next year’s WMG 2022 Holiday Spectacular, editor Kristine Kathryn Rusch will need to fill three anthologies full of holiday stories of different types. So she and Dean Wesley Smith have put together a very special three-week workshop on how to write a  story for possible sale to the 2022 Holiday Spectacular.

This will have a lot of writing advice in general, including how to focus a story you are writing for a certain market.

The third assignment of the three-week workshop will be to write a Holiday Story for a certain anthology title and Kris will read it and if it fits and she likes it, she will make you an offer to buy the story for next year at professional rates.

THIS WILL BE VERY DIFFERENT FROM THE WORKSHOP OFFERED LAST YEAR!

You can take the workshop starting December 14th or January 4th. Your choice. And the dates work out that if you take both workshops offered on this campaign, you are turning in a story for the December workshop the day the second workshop launches, so they do not conflict.

And remember you also get the Holiday 2021 Calendar with 38 stories delivered to you one per day over the holiday season. (In fact, we are charging regular prices for this special workshop and the Holiday Calendar is free. We figure it would be good to have you read stories that are in the market if you want to sell to it.)

Special Workshop #2… OFF-BEAT HOLIDAYS: How to Write a Story about an Unusual or Made-Up Holiday

Weirdly enough, this is a pretty difficult writing skill with a lot of craft tricks involved that will help your writing overall when finished.
