Kickstarter Friday (on a Saturday Night)

Some Fiction Campaigns That Are Worth Studying and Backing… I do this every Friday (didn’t have time last night to search for more than one, so pushed it until tonight to try to find a few others, but without luck.) when I have a few Kickstartere campaigns I think are worth putting here. I will not say much negative about a campaign. If there is too much or it is going to fail, I won’t post it here. And for those wondering where I get off judging Kickstarter Campaigns by fiction writers, I have now done 56 of them, every one funded and made money. My first campaign was in…

Mentorships and Fall Writing Festival Starting

All Kinds of Great Learning… KICKSTARTER MENTORSHIP… That’s right, one-on-one, I will help you build and launch a book kickstarter in the next three or four months that will fund, and get you readers for your books, then I will continue to help you with how to fulfill the campaign. You can start any time you want with this. Even into next year, but need to sign up now. I will cut this off after a few. And then in the following six months after the first one is done, I will help you with a second campaign. You will have two successful campaigns from this and have the confidence…

If there is too much or it is going to fail, I won’t post it here. And for those wondering where I get off judging Kickstarter Campaigns by fiction writers, I have now done 56 of them, every one funded and made money. My first campaign was in the very early days of Kickstarter. But if yoyu are going to study campaigns that I have done, study the last year or so. I am continuing…

    LAST DAY OF THRILLER KICKSTARTER…

END AT 7 PM TONIGHT… It is doing great. Really going to be fun to have those four novels back out with new and better covers. So much fun for me. And there are other books in this campaign, and cool mugs, and some limited books. (I already have the four mugs headed my way.) Wow does this Kickstarter campaign have two great workshops. We have never done a multiple viewpoint workshop before and as we got looking at it realized that the techniques to do multiple viewpoints correctly take a lot of learning and practice. Same with using Thriller Techniques in regular novels to make your regular novels more…

Yes, Going To Try This… If you are starting a publishing Kickstarter, first off you can send it to me to check for you ahead of time. I will be glad to. Or you can send it to me after you launch. New Kickstarter Launches At Noon!!

MARY JO ASSASSIN books… I love writing Mary Jo stories. It is amazing how complex killing someone can get. At 1,000 years old and a member of the Assassin’s Guild, she is well trained and practiced. Oh, if you are looking for magic or swords or things like that, afraid none of that in these books. She is sexy and deadly and doesn’t age, but she does love her partner, another assassin, and a good Screwdriver after a job well done. (Vodka and Orange Juice.) She might be called a completely modern assassin. Leaves no trace and has a very powerful code of ethics. And she is one of those…

New Workshop Up… Got a hunch that some writers are going to return from the land of The Time of Great Forgetting and wished they had started this. Get it on Teachable.  Here is the blurb about it… HOW TO ACHIEVE YOUR DREAMS A step-by-step guide to Writing More, Getting More Readers, and Making a Living with Your Writing. 9 week class given by New York Times bestselling author Dean Wesley Smith and planned by both Dean and New York Times bestselling author…

    First Report On Licensing Expo…

First Report To start off with, the best way I can describe this year’s Licensing Expo is great! And bigger. And no chance I saw everything in three days, And even with walking down an aisle two or three times, I still wouldn’t see something until the third day. It has been over a week now and we are still just starting to make contacts with some of the people there we connected with for various reasons. Steph even did an hour of “Speed Licensing” on Sunday. She will explain it on Writer’s Direct zoom meeting on WMG Writer Store. I can hardly even imagine it. (grin) Kris had some…
