Steve Martin and Martin Short

Time Off… Shocker…

Even two people who never take much time away from writing and publishing, take part of a night off at times.

Dinner in a great restaurant at the Wyn, And we even had deserts. Real shocker.

Then walked around to get some steps before the show, mostly over to the big poker tournament to see how things were looking there.

We had great seats. Mezzanine level, front row. Perfect.

I went in not knowing what to expect, but wow were they funny. Hour and forty-five minutes of funny. Haven’t laughed that much in a long time.

And as with any good comics, they pulled no punches on any topic. Sometimes they worked together, sometimes alone. Short is 72 and Martin is 77 and wow are they in great shape, still doing a lot of physical bits. And Martin is an amazing musician, both banjo and piano.

If they come anywhere near you, get tickets (unless you are politically too sensitive to go into the real world, then stay home.) Super, super funny.

Here are a few pictures of me and Kris ahead of the show.

Kris standing by their poster. Me and Kris by the poster, Kris on the stairs going up to the mezzanine, and two of us messing around in our seats before the show started.

Now Kris is off to bed and I am going to go write. Night.

Went to see these 2 perform a couple years ago and the show was amazing. Highly recommend it as well. So much fun. And awe inspiring levels of talent.

Both geniuses, for sure. Steve Martin was in one of my all-time favorite movies, Planes, Trains & Automobiles with equally brilliant John Candy.

Martin Short’s Jimminy Glick character is very underrated. Every so often I’ll binge watch Glick clips on YouTube.
