As I have been reading stories this last year, I found a lot of really great writing and great stories that readers would love. But many of them I sent back because they were not “Pulphouse” stories.
In this three week workshop Kris and I will put together 50 Pulphouse prompts. We already have eight on our list. And we will teach you how to think about taking your story from ordinary to different and original.

Fiction writers put so many rules on themselves and their writing where in reality, no rules exist. But writer’s critical voices force their stories into safe paths that honestly are fine stories, but mostly boring and same.
Sameness does not sell to readers or editors like me. We will give you rules that you should be breaking, ways to deal with the fear, and in three weeks we hope to help you break out and up.

I sent in stories last year and I never heard anything back about them, but I’m guessing they were rejected. I’m firmly in the romantasy camp anyway. i did look in spam but there was nothing there. Good luck with this one!

Yes, I am through all of last year, but still have some stories to read from February through June, and will do so when my computer and email return from the dead. So this year I might not have gotten to yet. Last year all cleared up.
And I read and write romantasy. So never pre-edit an editor. This is for Pulphouse, I like everything.
