Not Much To Say About the Story Challenge…
I Just Manage to Work At It Every Night…
Sometimes also during an afternoon. Taking me from 2 to 3 hours a day. Often in the first 45 minutes I manage around 500 words, then take a break and I get about 1,300 words an hour from there.
Kris is reading a story as she has a chance. She has read about thirty or so of them. And I am using some of them to fill up the last volume of the third Marble Grant collection. (Thought I had enough without checking… so wrote some in January and some this month to fill the collection.) They should be out later in March as planned in the Kickstarter.
So challenge is moving on… At the moment, a story a day seems pretty easy, but that is because I am now up to speed.
LIFETIME EVERYTHING SUBSCRIPTION…
Just two more days to get it at half price for the Lifetime Everything Subscription on Teachable. We started the sale for February but I have said almost nothing about it. This is a stunningly good deal if you plan on really working on your writing into the future. Write me if interested. And I can cut a little more off half price if you have another lifetime subscription.
Even though we are starting a new store shortly, we will not be doing any Teachable sales overall this entire year. Focused one items are all we will do, such as the Lifetime Everything Subscription. And that sale only has two days left.
Advanced Craft Workshops
Three 9-week classes starting March 4th on Teachable. Again, these are advanced craft classes to help you take your writing to the next level.
Really surprised not manny are signed up for the Advanced Setting. You think you know Depth with setting, you have no real idea.
- Advanced Setting
- Advanced Humor
- Advanced Character Development
All three nine-weeks long and are $500.
Everything Subscribers you do not have to tell me you are taking the class.
Regular Workshops
This month there are two extra regular workshops on Teachable, brought back from the Classic workshops to Regular Workshops for only one month. Five assignments in each one.

If you are interested in getting the LIFETIME EVERYTHING subscription, it has been on sale for February for half price. Write me if interested.
STRETCH GOAL WORKSHOPS…

Looking forward to the Advanced Setting course, especially after how eye-opening Advanced Rule of Three has been so far. I can imagine applying both together is going to be enlightening.

And fun. It will make a lot of things come clear, and easier.

This is why I’m so invested in the Advanced workshops.
For years I could see higher-level writers using writing techniques I didn’t understand and couldn’t put a name to. Now, the techniques not only have a name, but the whole array of how to use them has made decoding what makes their writing better at engaging their audience.

Exactly, all the advanced craft techniques can be learned and used (not by the front brain but by the creative brain.) And up until these 18 Advanced Craft workshops, no one has ever tried to teach what makes great writers such good storytellers. I know I am proud of the 13 classes we have done so far with five more to go this year. 6 a year.
