May Workshops One More Time

One More Reminder…

Before I move on to other topics, I just have to remind everyone that the May workshops have all just started and time to get into them. Here is the post I put up a few days ago.

——

There are some really great classes starting. Actually two Advanced Craft classes, four Collection classes, and seven Regular workshops.

You can find them all on WMG Teachable.

So here they are listed.

ADVANCED CRAFT CLASSES…

(Nine weeks long… Depth Workshop required for both. Dean gives feedback on eight assignments.)

  • Floating Viewpoints… (Oh, my, maybe one of the toughest classes we have ever done.)
  • Advanced Pacing… (My suggestion is to go over the Classic Pacing class first.)

COLLECTION CLASSES…

(Nine Weeks Long… You write five stories and publish a collection at the end. Any genre.)

  • Villains Collection Class (topic of villains in one fashion or another… You learn some about writing villains as well in any genre.)
  • Ghost Story Collection Class (topic of ghost stories in one fashion or another… You learn some about writing ghost stories as well in any genre.)
  • Space Opera Collection Class (topic of space opera stories in one fashion or another… You learn some about writing space opera as well.)
  • Holidays Collection Class (topic of holidays in one fashion or another… You learn some about writing holidays as well in any genre. If you write seasonal holiday stories, this is the right time to do it to get them out.)

REGULAR WORKSHOPS…

(Six Weeks Long… Dean gives feedback on five assignments. Start with the Depth in Writing class first if you are new to the craft workshops.)

Note: Making a Living with Novels is a RESURRECTED CLASSIC WORKSHOP. It will only be available as a regular workshop for this one month.

Class #43… May 2nd … Making a Living with Novels
Class #44… May 2nd … Writing into the Dark
Class #45… May 2nd … Teams in Fiction
Class #46… May 3rd … Depth in Writing
Class #48… May 3rd … Killing Critical Voice
Class #49… May 3rd … Applied Depth
Class #50… May 3rd … Advanced Depth

You can find them all on WMG Teachable.

On the regular workshops, if those of you with Lifetime Workshop Subscription would like to take one and get my feedback every week, write me, say you have the lifetime, and I will send you the code.

Short-term goal: to take one of the craft courses in my Lifetime Membership in June. It almost doesn’t matter which, it can be a repeat of one I have taken few years ago, but I have to get back in the groove of learning.
By June, I will have pattern of doing solid 2 writing session a day, plus publishing activities, licked like an old envelope and ironed out like one of my husband’s courtroom shirts!

And yes, my Critical Voice has expired in an immolation over a restaurant candle. Still all gone, still utterly and delighfully dead. I can write WHATEVER I FUCKING WANT. It’s…naughty. For instance, I realized how much I have been writing to mollify the (probably imagined) expectations of my readers! (As Kris said, I don’t have a career to ruin yet.)
I would’ve defenestrated it in the manner of my Czech tribe, but I didn’t want to get busted for littering. Plus, what if it stuck to my shoe on the way out and followed me home? Brrr…😁) (Or if it latched onto somebody else? Talk about bad karma!)

But yes for taking courses. It keeps the juices flowing fresh instead of slightly funky.
