Kickstarter Friday
Some Campaigns I Think Are Worth Backing Or Studying Or Both!
I do this every Friday when I have a few campaigns I think are worth putting here.
I will not say much negative about a campaign. If there is too much or it is going to fail, I won’t post it here.
And for those wondering where I get off judging Kickstarter Campaigns by fiction writers, I have now done 58 of them, every one funded and made money. My first campaign was in the very early days of Kickstarter. But if yoy are going to study campaigns that I have done, study the last year or so. I am continuing to learn.
And like some people browse and waste time on Facebook, I browse and waste time looking at campaigns on Kickstarter.

So to this week’s campaigns…
LAST STOP: YESTERDAY: Time Travel Romantasy by Kathryn Kaleigh
All aboard for a railway to the past • Heartwarming • Timeless • Romantic • First in a series
Kathy always does great campaigns and writes great books. Time travel, romance, fantasy, doesn’t get much better than this in the hands of a master like Kathy.
Study this one and back it. Worth it, folks.

Tales of the Warrior Chef by Christopher C. Diamond
Two collections of relentlessly hopepunk stories filled with kindness and perseverance set in an imaginative fantasy world.
Well, the word “hopepunk” was new to me, but this is a really good campaign for two collections and a bunch of other awards as well. Done in a very clear and simply style, this one works perfectly and has funded. Worth taking a look to study and also to back.

On Spec 2026: New Canadian Literature of the Fantastic by Edward Willett
An anthology of science fiction and fantasy by Canadian authors, following in the footsteps of the late, great On Spec.
On Spec Magazine has shut down, for those of you who didn’t know, after winning a ton of awards and many decades of great fiction. This is a yearly anthology in the tradition of On Spec and I think this is worth helping out, folks, to get this over the top of their funding goal. And there are some great writers already in its pages.
