Kickstarter Doing Great!
Gaining on the Second Stretch Goal… The WMG Holiday Spectacular 2023 campaign funded in 45 minutes, hit the first stretch goal in under 24 hours, and was given by Kickstarter a PROJECT WE LOVE designation that is really hard to get. Now it is gaining on the second stretch goal, which not only has more holiday reading, but a writing class included. Kickstarter Is Live!!
WMG Holiday Spectacular 2023 Kickstarter! We just went live. WMG Holiday Spectacular. We have some fantastic art and a fun design to this year’s campaign, plus this year we have THREE holiday Special workshops and we have merchandise. And, of course, the Holiday Spectacular Calendar which has 40 original stories in it, one per day from Thanksgiving through January 1st. You get the Calendar with any reward, including the workshops. WMG Holiday Spectacular 2023 Kickstarter
Kris and I Worked on Workshops Today… Actually, we ended up spending a lot of time on them, with Allyson on the phone as well. And during that call Steph got in the sample blankets and a mug and the coasters. Oh, my, are they nifty. (All offered on the campaign.) Kris wanted to make sure that we were getting the workshops in the best shape we could so the writers will write great stories for the Holiday Spectacular next year. The Most Ever in a Week!! I think October brings out the fun of Kickstarters. Wonder if Kickstarter has data on that. All of these are by members of the Kickstarter Best Practices class on Teachable. Nora Roberts Had 204 Books Stolen…
By ChatGPT… Without permission, without payment, just 204 novels stolen whole cloth and used to train the AI stuff so lazy-ass writers can use her work to pretend to make their own crap better. Nora just discovered this and is not happy, to say the least. I stopped counting when I got to 28 of my novels stolen without permission or payment. Why Kickstarter Class Is Free to Writers…
Started in October 2019… Master Business Class was happening and Loren L. Coleman and I were sitting on the suite’s balcony looking out over Las Vegas with about fifteen other writers in a large circle just talking publishing business. A Bunch of Kickstarters
I Push Different Kickstarters For Writers… If a person is on the free Kickstarter for Fiction Writers class on Teachable and starts a campaign and lets me know, I try to look at it (and I often back it) and then I write a group letter to all the others in the free class telling everyone about it. There are about 1,500 writers in that class, so sometimes it helps some. (This is that letter.) And I focus on what writers should study about each campaign. If the campaign doesn’t work, I won’t list it, and sometimes a campaign ends before I can get it listed. Just my schedule issues…
