An Issue Turned In

Finally Got Going Again with Smith’s Monthly

Took me a while to get going, but finally got the issue of Smith’s Monthly in to WMG. It has the novel I finished last night and four short stories and part of a nonfiction book.

I will have the next issue turned in on Monday, since that has novel I wrote in January. Then to finish a book I started a long time back and get it turned in for another issue next week.

Those of you who followed along in April know I started a new ghost of a chance series character called Marble Grant. That is the only story from that challenge in this issue. So here is the blurb I wrote tonight for the short story.

BLIND DATE: A MARBLE GRANT STORY

Dying on a first date sucks. Dying on a blind date sucks even worse.

Marble Grant, superhero, finds herself suddenly dead in a disgustingly smelly back alley and not catching a white-beam ride to the other side of whatever.

As a superhero, she knew about Ghost Agents. Never met one, but knew they existed.

She never heard of superheroes making the transition to Ghost Agent before though.

The first story in a new and fun Ghost of a Chance series, where ghosts solve problems and help people. And look damn sexy in the process.

EXERCISE UPDATE

Still giving the knee a rest, but am on a three day streak of 10,000 steps plus per day and the weight is starting to come off finally. Still planning the half-marathon in July, but most of it will be walking which I could do now. The key is how much I run and what my time will be on the run/walk.

    Well done. 🙂
You have proven time and time again, how just plodding along gets stories finished and published.
I am still plodding along, between 1-2 K words 5 days a week, and only have two or three chapters to finish. I am also looking forward to creating the cover and blurb and getting the book published.
