A Bunch of Workshops Moving to Classic

It Will Take Me A Week…

But I will get them moved and announce which ones. I wanted to get a bunch moved before folks buying the writer Christmas Box had a chance to decide what to take in ten days. There will be more selection.

Right now, this is the last day or so to sign up for the December Regular Workshops. They have all started last week but no too late except for a few of them, which I have pulled off the schedule. Jump in on Teachable.

So the following ten are still available for another day or so. Then January workshops will be up and available and there will only be ten of them as well, plus the second in the Futures workshop series.

Today I Got Some New Clothes…

For about thirty years now Kris has been working to get me into a certain style of clothes, but until we got to Vegas, I flat had no reason to do so. But here it was becoming clear quickly I needed to upgrade a lot.

So this afternoon we went down to the Convention Center where the big retail expo was going on with the rodeo that is in town. More cowboy hats than I have seen in a long time. We were actually looking for a duster for me.

We found more. From a major designer out of LA. Turned out to be fun.

Here are a couple of pictures. And yes, I bought the hat as well.  First picture is at the show without a shirt under the vest. Other picture is when I got home with the shirt but no tie and hat. Hat is being made for me.

(And before you ask, yes those are signed Chuck Jones illustrations above the window in our place looking out over Las Vegas.)

Already do. I normally wear a black leather coat and a fedora-like black hat. In fact I made a joke about it as I took the hat and coat off at that last speech at 20Books that didn’t make it on the tape.

I think you should have a picture of yourself in this stuff at the head of your blog next to ‘The Writing and Opinions of Dean Wesley Smith’, not that other guy. You could have a fun photoshoot out at one the Old West places that you love…

You are styling! The old riverboat gambler look. I love it. Kris was right and you carry the clothes as if they were designed for you.

(BTW, I had Harvey’s info filling in all the slots this morning.)

That’s a nice hook in the title. I was already biting my nails on which once I should get, and here you are adding to the already awesome list. 😀 Thanks, now waiting to know which once are crossing over. I hope Fantasy one does.

As many as you want. You can give the duplicate books away to friends and pick as many classic and lectures as you want. So yes. It really is an amazing deal.

Do you know when you’ll be announcing which workshops will be moving to Classic?

Just wondering so I know which ones I want to buy, so I can budget.
