40K Seminar
Over The Next Five Days…
Instructions will be going out to those signed up on how to get into the class and there you will find a free book to download and read before the class starts. It is my Advanced Magic Bakery 2026 book. If by next Monday, August 10th, you have not got the instructions from me and you are signed up, write me directly. (Check your spam filter first.)
This going to be an amazing class and still room to sign up. See instructions below.
So many writers are getting discouraged by not making much money, and yet they don’t even realize how the cash streams are built. In essence, this will be an awareness seminar on all the fifty or seventy or more major and minor ways of helping yourself make a living beyond just putting your work in the major stores around the world. Being wide around the world we will consider a basic starting point.
This course will be for writers of all levels. From a number of short stories published to fifty or more major books. For early stage writers, much of this will be down the road, but it will be good to learn about and plan for. For more advanced writers, this will be a way to explore things you might not have thought of, or have thought of and are not sure if it would be worth your time to add in.
SPECIAL FEATURE!! And for everyone, since indie publishing is changing so fast, we are adding in one special feature. In one year we will update everything and add new information and videos into the class and do an extra webinar or two. And then we will do it again in two years. And in three years. If you are in the class this first time, there will be no extra charge. You automatically will get all the updates every summer.
We plan to divide up the many, many, many ways to make money with your writing into various levels. And trust me, a lot of these ways will not suit you, but the key is to find ways that fit with your business and your writing.
There is no right way to make a living. But there are hundreds and hundreds of ways to make a living your way.
Here are some samples of what we will discuss and learn how to do on each level…
LEVEL ONE (The major and obvious cash streams…)
- — Kickstarter (and Kickstarter imitators)
- — Patreon (how to use it for a cash stream)
- — Substack (and how to use it for a cash stream)
- — Shopify (direct sale… when to set up and so much on how to use it)
- — Direct Sales (book fairs, and the like, the problems, the good things, the costs)
- — Audio (huge area on costs, how to do it, how to use it)
- — Nonfiction Writing (how to have it help your fiction writing and make money.)
- — Translation (changing all the time)
- — Short Fiction (a ton of ways to help make money here)
And about a dozen others at this major level… As I said, we are way into over seventy possible cash streams and increasing the count all the time as things pop up. These lists are just basic core sample lists.
LEVEL TWO (Not so obvious cash streams.)
- — Bundles
- — Bookbub (and other smaller ones… how to make money on them and keep your costs down)
- — YouTube (a ton of things here… wow)
- — Social Media platforms (beyond Facebook, a long ways beyond… and not ads)
- — Merch (not licensing, just selling your own and how and where… this combines really well with book fairs)
- — Newsletters, blogs, and readers clubs (huge area and a lot of ways to do them to build readers)
And a ton more beyond these as well. So, so much information and so many cash streams that are possible.
It will be a lot of information to talk about in four weeks and that is why we say the minimum of videos will be 5 per day or 100 over the four weeks. (Again, you can do them at your own pace and no assignments.)
THE STRUCTURE OF THE SEMINAR…
Five days per week, five or more videos per day. Four weeks long. Questions will be answered either privately or in videos for all to see as extras, depending on the question. Four webinars, one per week to focus on each week’s topics and what has gone before. Webinars will also be recorded.
In the second, third, and fourth years, (every summer, late July) more videos will be added and more webinars to talk about the new and changing details. The key in this new industry is to stay informed as things change and this will be a great way of doing that, plus for new writers building a career, every year will be a great check-in point on progress.
No assignments, no requirements. You can go over the videos at your own pace.
First day’s videos appear Monday, August 17th and the last videos for the first year will be posted on Friday September 11th, with the last webinar being the following week.
Cost is $500.
Send the $500 fee to PayPal to the email address dean@wmgpublishingstore.com (dead email only used for PayPal.) I will let you know I got it and put you on the list.
Questions, write me directly or if a general question, put it in the comments.
Hope you can join us in this really fun seminar. This will be amazing in so many ways.
And again, if you are signed up, instructions going out over this next week.

I have $600 in credits from the Novel Challenge in 2024-2025. Can they go toward this? No worries, if not. Just thought, I’d check.
Thanks.

Julia, afraid not for the seminars. No subscriptions or credits. But you can use them for any of the 600 classes on WMG Teachable.
