2020 Holiday Spectacular
Is Now Live!!
The 2020 Holiday Spectacular Kickstarter campaign is now live. Just as we did this year, for those who get the 2020 calendar in this campaign, you will get an original holiday story delivered to your inbox every day from American Thanksgiving (November 26th) through January 1st, 2021. (Yes, sort of an Advent Calendar using original short stories.)
What a fantastic way to ride out of this crazy year. Over 25 professional writers have written original stories for this and the entire project is edited by Kristine Kathryn Rusch, award-winning editor. Kris also does an introduction letter every day for each story, so it is also like getting a letter from Kris every day for 37 days.
And you can read the stories on any device you want.
You can also get all the stories in one big compendium volume next July, in the order they are sent out, with Kris’s introductions, or you can get the stories in three stand-alone books next October. (The books from 2019 just came out last week.)
Plus, for 2021, you can get two other holiday calendars and books. Annie Reed has put together a wonderful Valentines calendar that will run in February, and Mark Leslie has put together a nifty Halloween calendar that will run next October.
You can add all of them together.
Plus, for writers, Kris is going to need stories for the 2021 Holiday Calendar (next year), so she and I put together a special three week workshop called How to Write Holiday Crime Stories. For the third assignment, if you want you can write a short story that Kris will read and consider for next year’s Holiday Spectacular. This workshop will only be available through this Kickstarter campaign and you can take it either starting December 1st or January 5th. Your choice.
So go to the 2020 Holiday Spectacular and get the Holiday Calendar and get 37 original professional holiday short stories delivered to you every day to help live up the holiday season.
And watch Kris in the video below explain things even better…

I prefer big books over getting all the individual stories (and I’m on a tight budget this year), but I don’t see an add-on price for the 2020 Compendium. Should I just wait and buy it when it comes out next year?

Denise, let me see if I can get that as an add-on. It should be there.
