Working on CANDID SHOTS Kickstarter Campaign…
All Day Today…
Going to be a really fun one, especially with the two workshops…
As Kris said in her introduction on the Kickstarter, for the first time in ten years, she wrote a full mystery novel. Surprised her and it surprised me when she handed it to me. And for those who are fans of all her different mystery stories and novels, I can tell you the new book, CANDID SHOTS OF THE 1970S, is amazing. Just amazing. Kris working at her full powers.
We wanted to launch it as a Kickstarter because it deserves that level of promotion and start, but Kris had also been talking about bringing forward a book that had a bad life in traditional publishing because of the horrid title they slapped on it. Never indie published by WMG. So Kris went over the book, got her original title on it, and that mystery novel, CONSECRATED GROUND, is coming out as well with the brand new mystery novel.
And then Kris said she had a few brand new mystery stories that no one but me had seen, and a bunch of mystery stories that had won awards and such back decades ago, and so she put together a brand new collection of mystery stories as the third book in the Kickstarter.
Folks, if you are a mystery and crime fiction fan, this is a campaign to get. Wow.
And yes, Kickstarter has already awarded the campaign the “Project We Love” designation, which is also very cool. We launch tomorrow (Tuesday).
And the two very special craft workshops are HOW TO WRITE FLOATING TIMELINES (So much more than you can imagine.) And HOW AND WHEN TO ADD ATMOSPHERE. Both of these are slightly advanced over what we normally do in these three-week classes, but trust me, you will be glad you took them. And only available through the Kickstarter, so don’t miss them.
Take a look at the promotions page with Kris’s introduction and click on the “Notify Me On Launch” to have Kickstarter tell you when this goes live. This campaign is really special. Launching Tuesday.
