Some Covers
I’m Slowly Getting Better…
But got a bunch to learn to even get back to my skill level of ten years ago. But learning curves are fun.
This afternoon I did these two covers for Kris’s collection LITTLE TROUBLEMAKERS which will be out in stores this coming week and this paperback and hardback won’t be far behind. It was one of the books featured in Wee Beasties Storybundle last month. Ten really fun stories, worth grabbing when it comes out.
I used Ingram templates for InDesign and took me about three hours, since I had already done the electronic cover. I will get a ton faster at this. And I love the Ingram templates.
As I said, really fun. Here are the two covers… Paper first, then dust jacket cover. Both are trim 6 x 9 and the writing under them is the InDesign Template specs for the book they do not wan’t you to remove.

Very nice cover. The wraparound cover is good too. I will study that one for any future hard cover books I do. Thanks.

Nice!
My personal cover trick: I always do the paperback cover first. The ebook cover is trivial afterwards.

Yeah, I do it that way as well, then just export as pages and use the cover for ebooks, unless it is a short story without a paper version.

Thanks!! Always helpful to see the actual full files like this. Haven’t gotten into hardbacks and dust jackets yet, should be fun….
