SERIES COLLIDE Kickstarter Ends Tomorrow…

Two Fantastic Special Workshops Included…

How to Write Series Endings and also How to Write Cross-Genre Series. And the stories you write for both I will look at, if you want me to, for Pulphouse Fiction Magazine. These workshops will have sessions in February and are three weeks long.

Don’t miss the Series Collide Kickstarter. It also has stretch goals that allows backers to submit stories to Pulphouse Magazine in February, March, and maybe more. And all five of the Collides Series are available, over 520 stories, half from me, half from Kris. So help us pass the word. Take a look! This is a good one. Look at the fun video at the bottom of this blog that Kris did.

And we just hit the special backer stretch goal!! Fun.

IN-PERSON WORKSHOPS

For the first time since 2018, we are offering a Lifetime Subscription to In-Person classes. This includes all craft nd the Anthology workshop and any other in-person classes we do into the future. (This is never given away as a challenge reward on Teachable.)

And credits from Teachable or the Everything Subscription on Teachable do NOT apply.

The cost for a Lifetime Subscription to all In-Person workshops is $3,000. This also includes a Lifetime Subscription to the Study Alongs. Write me if interested and also write me to sign up for any of the In-Person workshops… See yesterday’s blog on more details.

And note, Kris and I are talking about doing a class on Licensing In-Person right ahead of the Licensing Expo in late May of 2026. Not scheduled yet, but would be added into the Lifetime to In-Person subscription of course.

MENTORS…

The offer that Kris and I extended a couple days back on mentorships is still available. Both of them. One with me, two with Kris. See Sunday’s blog for information and write me if you have questions.

DAY 13 AND STORY 13…

Attempted to get an earlier start on the story since I had so much to do tonight and tomorrow. The In-Person Space Opera workshop started here and seems to be getting off to a good start.  So about 10:30, after working on workshops and assignments and recording, I headed for my writing computer.

Glanced at my title pages and saw the phrase “The Man Who…” which reminded me of the new character I had started a number of stories back called Detective No-Neck Crunch because his first two story titles started with “A Woman Who…”

So I typed in “A Woman Who Sucked on a Flower” and off I went. I really wanted to make sure I had this character’s voice, so I did something I never do, not ever. I read about 300 words of the opening to Kris to check on the character voice. Doing that for myself, not really her opinion. I think I got the voice. I like the character.

(No one has read these stories yet but me, but will put the first collection together this next week and give it to Kris and start showing you here the covers.)

When I was doing a challenge at some point in the past, Detective Sky Tate appeared and I wrote about seven or eight stories from her viewpoint in ten days or so. So doing these in series is normal for me to start a character. Did it that way, way back with Poker Boy as well, and with Marble Grant. So all normal. I have a new series character it seems.

Got back to the story about 1:30 and it ended up around 2,000 words before I got it done and took a break. Did some more stuff back here, wrote this blog, and am now going to bed.

Here is the cool video that Kris did for the Series Collide Kickstarter. Might have to click twice to play it. Remember the campaign ends Wednesday night.
