Regular Monthly Workshop Sales

Yes, We Changed Our Minds…

Every month, for the last week of each month, we will be doing a half-price sale.

The sale will always start on Sunday early and end the following Sunday very late.

The sale is for everyone, and covers everything, including challenges, lifetime subscription, workshops, pop-ups, study-along classes, the new Quick Solutions class, and everything else.

Everything on Teachable.

Why are we changing out minds on this?

We started the workshop sales to help writers through the pandemic. And that pandemic seemed to go on forever, as we all discovered. And now so many people are struggling on the other side. When we said we wouldn’t do sales on workshops again, we got so many great letters about how helpful the sales were and how it might not be possible to do some of the workshops without the sales.

Well, we are not doing these for the money, but to help writers, and we clearly (by stopping the sales) were not helping a certain group of writers that we wanted to help.

So Allyson at WMG, the shopper in the bunch, described how a regular sale would allow people to plan and save for a workshop ahead of time. Kris and I agreed, at least understanding the concept. So that’s why now starting on the Sunday of the last week of every month, we will do a half-price sale for that week.

I will announce the sale when it starts every month and at some point put up a schedule of the sales ahead on my blog.

Right now, the July sale is starting.

RIGHT NOW!

It will run until late July 31st.

The code to get anything on Teachable at half price is:

JulyRegularSale

Simply hit purchase on a course you want, then on the next page put in the code and hit apply and you should be able to get the class at 50% off.

The August Regular workshops are up now, as well as the second Quick Solutions class Advanced Writing into the Dark for those who have taken the regular Writing into the Dark class.

One week, starting now and ending next Sunday.

We really hope the sales being regular going forward helps.

Any questions, feel free to write me.

Everything on Teachable.

Thank you so much, Dean and Kris! I’ve been kicking myself so hard over not doing well enough to take advantage of the last “last” sale. (My critical voice chimed right in, something to keep working on.) But being able to plan for upcoming educational expenditures is a real boon. I really appreciate it, and I can’t thank you enough!

Thank you so much for this, Dean. I live in Australia so I need to account for a substantial (relative) markup whenever I want to take a class, even at a discount. Having a regular sale opportunity I can plan and budget for is a massive relief. Now I might be able to afford workshops more regularly. (Or I might save up for the lifetime bundle!)

    Thank you.

Yes, thank you Dean for the sales. Here in the UK, we have a 20% mark up from added tax, so even with the exchange rate advantage we used to have that is diminishing, the sales are making the courses more affordable in the cost of living crisis many of us are facing.

I join those who says thank you. I also say that. It’s wonderful to me. I like the workshops and pop-ups and I absolutely will buy some of them during on of these sales. They really help me a ton.
