Novel One: Day Two

A Second Good Day…

(As a reminder, the overall monthly challenge is to write four novels, lose eight pounds, and gain distance every week on my step count, starting the first week at 11,000 steps per day.)

The Day Went Like This…

Got out the door around 2 p.m. and made it up for the writer’s lunch at WMG offices. Hung around there until about 4 p.m. when Kris and I went out for a walk. I walked some extra and she was still working up at WMG when I got back.

I worked for a time and then when she left I decided to walk home most of the way with her and then back to the office to finish up my steps.

Also among all that got the Ideas to Story Classic Workshop up on Teachable and live. You can find that and all the lectures and also other classic workshops at:
http://wmg-publishing-workshops-and-lectures.teachable.com/

Headed to the store and got dinner, home to take a nap, cook dinner, and then do e-mail and read some stories. I got done with the number of challenge stories I wanted to read, so started writing at 11:30 instead of midnight.

I have no idea where this novel is going and it started off slow tonight for some reason. I ended up doing an extra session and an extra hour to get almost the same amount of words as yesterday.

Writing…

I did one session of 900 words by 12:30 a.m.

Took a short break and did 800 more words by 1:15 A.M.

Another short break and a nap. No idea why it is slow at the moment.

By 1:45 I was back at it and I had added another 1,200 words by 2:30 a.m..

By 3:30 a.m. I had added another 1,300 words. Faster now. No idea why.

Short break and by 4:15 a.m. I had another 1,200 words.

Another break and by 5:30 I had another 1,300 words.

6,700 words of fiction total for the night in six sessions.

The Day Breakdown

6 hours writing… 6,700 words
1.5 hours exercise plus normal movement… 11,200 steps
5.5 hours of work for workshops and meetings and such.

The rest television, cooking dinner, and so on. Plus 8 hours of sleep and two short naps.

THE WEEK SO FAR…

Days over 6,000 words… 2 of 2
Days over 11,000 steps… 2 of 2
11 hours of regular job work so far for the week
