Challenge

My New Challenge Coming Into Focus…

Been Exactly Three Weeks…

My challenge is to average one new short story collection per week and do 75 major book titles in my 75th year.

My first collection is up in the www.storybundle.com/animals and it is called MY SOCKS ROLLED DOWN and Nine Other Stories.

I have changed the cover for the publication when the bundle is over. But right now you can get that Exclusive collection by me and 13 other books by great writers for a real deal. Has a brand new collection by Kris in it as well.

I now have four ten-story collections put together total in three weeks. Mostly I have been trying to update my short story spread sheet after a bunch of years of being ignored. I want to get to ten collection together (100 stories), plus covers,, then jump to the Vellum step, then the publication step. With luck, all ten will be together and published by the end of the month.

So starting off on target and it feels so good to finally start getting all my short fiction out into the light of day without any story repeats. Going to take me all year because there is upwards of 600 short stories, but wow what a project it will be.

Here is cover of the second collection and the third collection. And no, I am not numbering them.

Hi Dean, the challenge sounds great for you! I was just wondering what the reasoning is for not numbering the collections? I’d been planning on doing this eventually, so I was just curious. Thanks.

Readers who get say #9 think they have to buy the first one first, and it will hurt sales. That’s why, plus who wants to read #57 of anything. (grin)

Also don’t forget modern readers as snake-bit with the George RR Martin and Patrick Rothfuss problem of never finishing series.

All my collections will be branded the same, with different titles and genre art. Ten different short stories in each.
